Out of all the places I've skied or snowboarded, the Vail ski patrollers will always be my favorite people. Definitely the nicest people I've had to be taken down to base by in my years of riding
if you or your kids never ski before, do they give skiing lesson? or basically you are on your own? if yes, is skiing lesson included in the the ticket price or is it extra? if extra, how much?
Lucky enough to have stayed at Caribou Highlands years ago a few times, and I felt tired seeing you on the Moose Mountain access run. And now the Bull lift is gone so you have to push so dang far, even if you waxed to the max. The Moose Mountain return is more strenuous especially on a board, but it is what it is. The gondola (gently used from Vail) is there and it seems much easier to move from mountain to mountain if skiing. Caribou Highlands is great, but it sits lower on Eagle Mountain so most people will just take the Moose access down and then its a journey to get back.
When the fish bites it, pull your rod upward hard and fast to set the hook. Also, with poppers and frogs, don’t just reel them in straight, twitch them with your rod. Also don’t reel up to the rod tip that can break the rod. Nice pike though!
@@zhizhenzhao8234 no problem! Gotta love topwater! If you want to avoid bite offs from pike, you should try steel leaders. Just get a 12” long one and tie it to your line before clipping it to the lure. If you want to get a topwater you can just reel in, try the whopper plopper. The steel leader might get you a few less bites, but it will stop the pike from biting you off. Just don’t use it when you’re using soft plastics or jigs unless you’re targeting pike with the soft plastic or jig. Especially avoid them while walleye fishing.
