Northgate is a church in Courtenay, BC, Canada. We meet at 9am and 11am every Sunday and would love if you would join us! For more info at www.ngate.ca.
So glad to be able to watch via ROKU and RU-vid on my own schedule. Sometimes working weekends can change opportunity to gather at the same times... but Thank God that His Church is available 24/7 wherevet we are!!
I'm sorry Daniel, I love your message but they know they can not drop the hammer of persecution here all at once, they know they must chisel away at it on little piece at a time. This is a democracy, the government does not rule us. We the people ARE the government, every one of us. And if enough rise to protest lawfully and enact change as a result then that is the will of the people and as such the will of government
So good! What a timely reminder to keep the Sabbath! I have seen the benefit of it in the past and have struggled to maintain it in the last few months.
I missed church today, so I just watched it. Great msg Pastor Evan, I loved how you explained it with bible versus. It was also great to see & hear Pastor Joelles beautiful voice! ❤️M
Blessings from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. May we be continually overflowing with His love in the power of the Holy Spirit. God bless you all and your family!🙏🙏🙏
That I would be welcomed at Kingsway Foursquare Church by Pastor Dairn and his wife Beth with unconditional love and acceptance after having no fellowship for 18 years
God bless you Evan. Will be sharing this series in Vancouver on my Facebook this week and then watch party live each Sunday morning or night! Love to my Vancouver Island family ❤❤❤

Hi good morning we are the Cuthill family. God is good, we flew 24 hours yesterday to come home from Mexico where we live and serve. Thank you for being online today, we are grateful to be here today with you.
Amen! God let us seek your face as a church. You Call us out to be separate, you have our attention and we rely on your covenant promises. Take us back to the Cross, give us a deeper revelation of the work in the new covenant . Holy Spirit we wait for you. We hunger and thirst. Jesus you are the way, the truth, and the life. Humble us Father as we seek your face in this new season. Call us out of the busyness and into your rest. Praying for you church family.
This talk is much more American than Christian - it is reading the Bible through the lens of "positive thinking" than reading the Bible through its own context and setting. It's an excellent delivery of spiritual pablum. "Believing for" something is nonsense. What God's Word expressly says is what we are to believe, not the dreams we may have, which can be based on God's Word - or simply on the hopes of our flesh. Jesus came to save us from our sins, and to make us into people like him, who think of others before we think of ourselves and our own dreams. Jesus says that we are to take up our cross, lay down our own hopes and dreams, and see FROM SCRIPTURE what he directs us to do - and if you read the Gospels and the Epistles, there will be plenty of things, stated plainly what we are those who follow Jesus are to do.
@AnglicanXn I feel like it would be worth listening to a few sermons before issuing this type of judgement. The preaching from Northgate is always scripture-based, often challenging with calls to repentance, and always point people to Jesus and the story of the gospel. We need many more churches like Northgate. I'd agree with you that we can turn from scripture to help direct us what to do. But you'll also want to see that scripture has nothing against dreams. "In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams." Acts 2:17. It's surprising you would believe God can only speak through scripture. He's way bigger then that.
@@mattmorrison, while I might well listen to some other Northgate sermons, I suspect that my basic diagnosis would be confirmed, not overturned. I will listen to at least two more, from other series, just to satisfy my curiosity. As far as God being "way bigger than that" (speaking through the Bible alone), how do you know that the Book of Mormon or Mary Baker Eddy's "Key to the Scriptures for Science and Health" is not the voice of God? In 2 Timothy 3:16-17 we read, "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work." This sermon simply uses a passage of Scripture to launch into a pep talk. The preacher does not draw out the meaning of the text itself, but drawing upon some teachings common among certain groups, he uses it to encourage people to follow their dreams (some certainly God-honoring) and to encourage others to encourage dreams. When you have exhausted the riches of Scripture, I suppose that God may reveal something more. Until then, he will use the Bible to teach, to reprove (error), to correct, and to train the heart, mind, and will to be fully obedient, having the character of Christ himself. I have been reading the Bible regularly for over fifty years, and preaching for over thirty. I am more deeply confident of the riches immeasurable contained with the Scriptures than ever before.
This verse has been my favorite these last few weeks...my study Bible translates ‘poor in spirit’ as ‘spirituality bankrupt’... awesome word. Needed this!! Thank you
