If you are looking for a pack that has a hip belt it will be difficult to find in that small size, however the Gregory Zulu could be an option for you if hip belts are a must have. You can check it out here! ridgeandriver.com/products/gregory-zulu-28l-day-pack?_pos=1&_sid=2eb7a98e3&_ss=r
The Rubicons will have a bit of stretch over time, so you could get away with a half size down for a bit of a more performance fit, or true to size for a comfort fit.
One thing that have me a bit confused about the rain cover, is that it have string loops on the inside. It's like they are meant for the tent poles, and alignes the raincover better, but it's cumbersome to set up. Do you know if that is the intended use, or is it for something else?
I'm a seasoned a day hiker and fly fisherman, but very new to backpacking. I just did my fist overnight in the Adirondacks and it is safe to say that I am addicted! I have the 2P Copper Spur and I love it. Though, I am looking into the Nemo 2P OSMO Dagger. As someone who is also 6'1", I love high ceilings that 50ft floor space. Other than that, I love my Big Aggie! Love the video man, you have yourself a new follower.
I have the third board in this S9 video. It's the 44" MAVERICK STACK. Love it. Fast and smooth. Not a sharp turning board. So I put softer bushings in the trucks. That helped out. This comes with 70 mm wheels. I put on a set of 74 mm wheels with a wider patch. Now it's riding over cracks and bumps even smoother.
REI has a ridiculously good sale on this tent now, so I picked one up. Then I ordered the green one as well because they didn't have it in the store. Now I'll do a side by side comparison of the color because I can't decide from the online photos and videos, LOL. One will get returned.
I've had one of these for a couple years. Love it. However, after a couple years of use, the grommets are egging out and I have to be careful when putting it down so the legs don't come out
Sounds like this chair has lived a good and full life! This newer elite chair has only been out a couple months. Maybe worth picking up this upgrading model!
Hey there! Follow the link in the description to the copper spur landing page and you will see a solid picture of the fast fly setup! Great question. Thanks.
How about Zulu 24 LT vs Stratos 24? Both panel loaders and 24L so more comparable? Stratos 26 seems like better match for Zulu 28 LT, just like Deuter Futura 26 or Vaude Brenta 30 (though we are now in Zulu 30 territory...)
