i just made a grid with different layers and then take two of those grids, fill them with each parents colours in different directions, then put one a 50% opacity! hope this helps :)
Hiiiiii can u draw my own mlp oc I know how I want it to look but it's hard for me to draw it SO PLEASE PLEASE CAN PRETTY PLEASEEEE HELPPP MEEEEEEEEEE OHHHHH ifff u doooo then the har should be medium wavy but the hair should be let downnnnnn and the color of the hair is red and white with side bangs toooo and the skin color is white and eye color red and green so 2 eye colors and the name of my oc is mellany or mell for short and like the front hooves will have star hand warmers like the color of the hand warmers is white and the stars r red and the cutie mark is a pink tullip with a cute perfume square bottle and that's likeeee ittt i would really appreciate it if u would actually do itttt thank uuu
I'm curious, so when I draw a Pony character I'll usually use heavy referencing like you're doing in the beginning of this video. would this be considered tracing? or am I simply just using the body as a reference? I don't want to be accused of stealing someone else's art but I have issues with Pony Anatomy so I heavily reference by drawing over top and splicing different body parts together to get the pose I want
personally i see using the show and smashing bit together as making a base and then using that base, so i wouldnt claim it as my own work but if you just want to use others art as reference i'd try red lining! where you draw over the art/reference to see how they might've done the base shapes and referencing that on the side :)
this is actually so interesting, i’ve never really thought about the creation of custom mlp characters! the proccess seems so fascinating! thanks for this eye candy!!
I know you mean no harm but if you really are using pegasskis bases, they have said that they are very uncomfortable with others using their bases to make money because they feel it is not right to copy something that is traced. Did you get their permission?
i've heard that! this custom set was done a while ago so im not 100% sure but im pretty surre these were done for deviantart points! thank you for making sure tho! its always best to proctect artist's interests!
falls to my knees... how did you make the curve tool look like the binary brush... I've been looking all over for how to disable anti-aliasing on the curve tool :')
