Hi Tackle HQ , can you compare the Daiwa 21 SW 5000 and Daiwa 24 Certate 5000 , which one the best and which one good for catching fishing on the beach . Please let me know . Thank you for yoyr time .
From WA here. Bit late just saw your channel. I like the concept of sinker hitting bottom first but would you have more hook tangles on the leader rigging this way
I nearly bought this, but why didn't they put holes in the pouch for the smaller jigs so you can see the colours like in the larger pouch. And, that larger heavier jig looks like it's going to punch a hole in the bottom as that material stretches a lot. A bit of reinforced material for the larger ones would make it better perhaps
Why do people keep jigs in the jig wallets? They get wet and hold moisture which starts rust and also the hooks get caught on the fabric.. is it just a street cred type of thing? Like all my lures, my jigs are in plastic tackle trays and they don’t let water in.
I just purchased the Ocea Jigger 2000 hg. I’m new to bait casting reels. I took it out on the boat, and the one problem I have is the Line keeps spooling up on the left side. I suppose one must use your thumb or fingers guiding the braid to keep the line even across the spool, but I do t find any videos talking about how people do this. Does anyone have some tips?
No the spool is not meant for normal casting distances it way too small. Look at a reel that can hold 300 meters or the line you are going to be fishing with . 😉👍
Hey mate, excellent review! With the 2000, what class of fish would that work with? Would it handle 50lb yellowfin tuna or yellowtail? Do you recommend the HG or PG for fish in the 50lb class? Many thanks in advance!
Just bought one, 8k heavier than a 500h Catalina. Can't get a 3500 size Certate SW either. Got all weird specs and compact sizes and stupid stuff in the LT range. Can I just get a Certate LT 3000 or 3500 D-XH- ARK? No you can't. And you are forced into compact reels which screws rod balance.
It sucks they got rid of the old 4000 size catalina.... no replacement in sight. Now you either have to go an lt5000/bj4000 or these monsters..... its disappointing.
Amazing process bro i still have problem on my classic pr knot after a Whole day of casting, and hard contact with the rod, i am going to try this knot
i think this reel feels amazing, Shimano are ahead of the game with the 8000 Stella being a standalone reel of its size and no longer the same size body / rotor as the 10,14000 sizes. i believe Daiwa may do the same next release
5kg@70 is above average weight if anything for a snap of that length haha, I've always called 70-75's 4ish, looks like I've been underestimating fish😅, need a set of scales!
@@tacklehq1875 cheers mate u guys got an online store ay? I'm just too far away to come In store. And while I got ya what rod would u recommend fishing around 150grm jigs 40-110 mtrs cheers🤙
@@tacklehq1875 man I got spots in 20m of water to 80m of water for BIG reds, fishing from 20g to 140g jigs depending on conditions. I'm more leaning towards the 2000 just because of the power of some of the reds but not 100% if I'll need it. Thanks for the reply bud
@@ljwaters1989slow pitch we run PE2 so don't stress about power look at it as a capacity thing and how it suits the rod you may need two rods because of your big jig weight difference. Start with a 1500 and then head to a 2000 make sure its in HG
@@ljwaters1989 i think its the wrong jig weight it snot going to pitch your jig weight correctly, i think look for something that's 100-180 more to give you the best action. We have a SFC JAM #1 in stock its got a max jig weight of 180g so it will pitch 100-150 perfectly. iv just uploaded a video what is slow pitch jigging would be worth having a look at i believe :)
i find that star drag is better to cast, if this had a mag brake system on it it would make it better for casting. my opinion is this is set up for more live baiting and trolling
Hey i think its been released in australia as a slow pitch reel, i think its lacking what it needs to be a proper slow pitch reel tho and it nay be better suited to trolling or bait fishing.
