Thanks for the tips. You answered the question I was looking for. 1 album 12-15 Oz. 2 albums 1-2 Lbs. I want to get all my ducks in a row for my first record show. Thanks again

Yes, all great debuts. Unfortunately I do not have any of those in my collection to talk about. Led Zeppelin was another debut that I wish I had. But I remain hopeful.

Thinking about debut records, I think Boston is the absolute greatest from top to bottom. I remember when I was in high school listening to classic rock radio stations you could literally hear every single track off of that album. What other albums got that treatment muchless a debut? I'll argue that Van Halen's is the greatest for personal preference but it didn't get the same treatment. That said, I've always maintained that every Van Halen album was great top to bottom with the exception that, during the Sammy Hagar years, they liked to throw in a single super weird track that might have been alright but usually seemed out of place.

I agree. That Boston album is one you can just hit play and go.

NY NY Hi. I am just browsing various similar YT channels. Can you find of these as new, sealed old stock? Am buying a few LPs again, after years of not - and being more absorbed in cameras and computer/online. But now I also buy hi-res flac files for download to keep on my digital audio player (besides on computer). My vintage cassette deck is under repair now and the 30-35 year old mixtapes I have are still fine (so I am keeping them). I paid regular prices back in the day, and starting in 1985 started a switch to CD at a premium. Glad to have rock and pop, but especially some particular dance-disco LP and 12 in singles I love, from late 70s to early 80. some as cut-outs etc,. not to be found on CD.

Steven, most of the records I find are pre-owned and opened but usually in very good shape. That’s not to say that I won’t come across some of these sealed in the future. And sealed usually increases the cost. In a week or so I will be selling on the Whatnot app so feel free to check me out there as well. Reach out anytime.
