Just read through most of these comments and I see that "Ask Doc Joc" can't be bothered to answer anyone. This truly sucks, especially considering the word "Ask" is in the name of this RU-vid. My first viewing / my last viewing.
Does this mean your actually buying 2 pair of dentures, Immediate and permanent dentures? I have my Immediate ones still and I have what they call "Monkey Face!!! I'm not happy...please explain what happend s next?? I'm desperate!!
I’m post op a week today 4/3/23 and my immediate denture is so uncomfortable and I have pain when wearing them. I don’t go back until 4/18 for my soft liner. Any suggestions on what I can use until then so they aren’t so painful?
This place is incredible, the staff are truly concerned for their patients. If you want implants THIS IS THE PLACE ❣️ Do Not look anywhere else, this office is the BEST and will go out of their way to get the solution you need, I 100% guarantee you will be happy you chose them ❣️
I have 4 implants, two on the uppers and two on the lowers, although they are all in the back of both jaws. Can these snap on dentures work with the implants in the back and not in the front??
After receiving my emmediate dentures. I was told these would be my " lifelong dentures ". Obviously the dentist is saw lied to me or had zero knowledge of what he was talking about. He never told me anything about secondary dentures after my healing process was completed. Nor did he once tell me that there was such a thing a soft linner to help my eating capabilities. 5 years later and I'm still dealing with incompetent doctors. They all have a great pitching line and sell. I can say throughout my experience with this. I highly recommend getting everything in writing from your doctors before you leave thier office and record all interactions with the office and doctor. This has greatly helped me in a lawsuit against them. Even my insurance company was in on it. I'm getting them as well. I do this so hopefully someone else does not have to go through this nightmare like I did. It's a long process especially the insurance company. They are in for there own agendas. One of them is their pockets. Be very careful when dealing with doctors and insurance companies. They can be misleading..
I just received my temps ( full mouth ) and it's like they were rounded on the tops making them just not fit. I took them home and sanded down the upper/lower temp. The thing that bothers me is how can a dentist actually let a customer leave like that. I'm not comfortable with them anymore. Affordable Dentures. Can I still have another place make my permanent set?
I have been going to Dr.Jerigan for years but in 2020 I had bottom dental implants I got a snap on but decision I can eat anything I want and they look great I can personally say they did an awesome job
does anyone write here what is actual cost average + -- , or approximately . every one in 100s videos talks about same things and differences but no one about most important thing affordability and price. it doesn't have to be i dollar exactly 2000 more or less

i just got quoted $29,000 for upper and lower snaps; includes bone grafting, temp set of reg dentures and permanent ones. Also my extractions, this was the total cost. Going on Tuesday to make the appt. after much research on both. My decision came down to having someone very close in case of any emergency. half hr drive. I need that for assurance.
Hi doc. I have a quick question. In 2019 I had 12 mini dental implants placed. (6 top & 4 bottom) I have the snap on kind with horseshoe style on top. I hate them!! I can't wear the bottom, they don't fit right & I have 1 top implant on top left that barely shows & hurts so bad when I snap the top denture onto it. It is possible for me to get only the teeth type & not what I have? I think they may be called a bridge? I think they may be more comfortable & I would wear them all the time instead of just when I go out to the store, Dr. etc. I only wear top ones. Can you please let me know if this is possible? Thanks in advance. Becky
Thanks for explaining snap on dentures in a way most people can understand.I'm a dental tech. for 49 years, now just working part time.Snap on dentures even though are still more expensive then regular dentures are ALOT LESS than fixed. We do alot of snap on dentures. You are right that 4 implants are prefer on lowers but 2 placed in the 1'st bi seems to work almost as well.Relines should be done when needed so as to keep the pressure distributed over the ridge and not just on the implants. Thanks for the video!
Any advice on how to stop sucking on dentures? I can't stop, but it's so uncomfortable to do. 😫 Also, my jaw aches when I have them in. I haven't worn dentures in 4 years, so I'm assuming my jaw is misaligned, perhaps? Is there a way to ease that pain/help realign my jaw?
I just got implants for my snap on dentures, but they do not stay snaped on! Especially the bottom ones. I can knock them out with my tongue, which I'm terrified about if I'm talking or heaven forbid kissing someone, and they pop out. Why is this happening, and how to fix it? I have 6 implants on my bottom arch. The attachment is gold and kind of pyramid shaped and has a little Ridge indent around near the tip and the device has those rubber rings in it. Os there a better shaped attachment I can use to anchor the device in better with? Ty
Thank you for sharing your video... Question... Is this snap on dentures , let's say,if you do , with 2 or 4 screws... Is it permanent or you still have to use the adhesive together with that... And this type of dentures are still removable? Or I am wrong? Thank you
Hey Anastasia! Thanks for you comment and question. As long as the implants stay healthy, you don't have to remove or replace them, much like natural teeth. By permanent I'm not sure if you mean does it stay in the mouth always? If so the answer is no, you still have to snap them in and out. The option that doesn't come out and is "permanent" or "fixed in the mouth is the fixed hybrid bridge, or the All-on-X. With regards to adhesives I tell patients that if they only do 2 implants, they still may have to use some adhesive in the back to try and prevent the rocking forward. With 4 I have never had a patient have to use adhesive.
My denture experience has been a nightmare. After agreeing on a schedule of treatment with my dentist, he retired three months into my denture experience. His replacement was not experienced in dentures. She and her staff dropped the ball numerous times, trying to perform procedures that had already been done, trying to do extractions that had already been done or weren't meant to be done. It was a mess and I felt I had no choice but to proceed with her because I'd already paid thousands of dollars up front for my treatment. One of the worst experiences was with my "immediate" dentures, which became my "permanent" dentures when the new lady refused to honor the old agreement. She basically told me my temp dentures, would be fine. They aren't fine. They are ill-fitting and fall out constantly. My gums are sore from using adhesive every day. It's difficult to eat with them in at all. The liner they put on the immediate dentures, the day I had my extractions, is some kind of white gunk that did not fill in or cover anything. It's patchy and never felt like it secured anything. After more than a year, my temps-permanents, don't stay in at all. My story is shared because I want people to be aware when they're seeing and agreeing with a dental expert, to get it in writing and even *ask* what happens should your expert leave in the middle of your treatment! In my case, my dentist knew he was leaving months before he agreed to do my work. He agreed to come back and treat me after retirement, but the new owner refused to allow that. Awful !
I got dentures and had a softline and it did nothing. My teeth virtually just drop out. I can't eat food. Dentures were the biggest mistake I've ever made. My mouth is ruined
Well so far I've heard of people who lost teeth do to domestic situation and get implants, people on Medicare or Medicaid and you say if your missing all your teeth you can help. I'm only 55 have only 6 teeth on the bottom and 10 teeth or pieces of teeth on top, cost more to have them taken out then the dentures themselves, thinking about having them knocked out so I can get dentures and my life back. 😥
I really hope someone answers me. I've had my snap in over denture in for just over 24 hours. The doctor put me in the pink bands he seemed to have no trouble getting them in and out. but when he did it I felt like he was pulling teeth. I was made to try and do it after pulling and pulling it did come out but the force I had to use made my over denture slam in to my bottom teeth so hard I thought I was going to rip my bottom jaw off or break some teeth on the bottom. I've been trying for almost 18 hours now to take it out to clean it. And I can't do it. my lips are cut on both corners. Please can anyone help. Tell me a easy way to pop them out.
I have 5 minis uptop and 4 bottom how do I get traditional implants for fixed denture? Do the remove and replace or can they add and work around the minis?
I’m at one month and my chewing/eating is at 60-70 % from what it was . I am looking forward to getting the buttons put on the posts to have them snap into place
I just called my dentist office today to set up and apt to get this process started for snap on denture's... But she said I'd get 2 implants on top and 2 on bottom... Then I watched some videos about these dentures and learned 3-4 would be best to keep the back from moving around.
Hello my name is Savannah I’m 33 Years Old Way too young to have to worry about dentures are used drugs about 11 years ago for about 3 Years of my life but I’ve been clean for 11 years now. When I got clean my teeth were in great shape but for some odd reason as years went on my teeth are falling apart someone told me it was probably because of my Gingivitis but I don’t know. Getting traditional regular dentures really scares me don’t want to have to worry about them falling on my mouth that’s for sure but when I heard about snap on dentures that’s something that I really want to do. I’m just scared and my teeth need to be fixed really bad I would go with clear choice implants but that’s like $50,000 or something and I cannot afford that. What would the cost be an estimated range for snap on dentures because I really need to start getting my teeth fixed ASAP I should’ve probably done this five or six years ago but I didn’t.
Hi Savannah. I just saw this post. I got mini dental implants in 2019. 6 on top & 4 on bottom. I have the snap in style with horseshoe top ones. My total cost was $10,000. $800 per mini implant, coming to $3200, but my dentist threw in 2 free ones on top. The dentures were over $2000 per denture & they are crap! I had 2 bottom wisdom teeth removed before any of this was done, otherwise it would've been cheaper. I now wish I would've gotten just the teeth style instead of the denture style. The bottom don't fit right & they have been remade 3 times now! I don't wear the bottom ones at all. I only wear the top when I go somewhere, otherwise here at home I don't wear at all. I have 1 implants on top on left side that you can barely see, why I have no idea, & it hurts like hell when I snap my denture in place cuz of it. Do plenty of research h before getting these. I used to wear regular dentures with fixodent to hold them in. I got dentures in 1997 for the first time. I was only 32. Good luck & I hope I helped you a little.
In mexico its 1200 dollars why so much in the US I think Americans need to start taking mexico over we need there dental and medical rates they have the same equipment as are DOCTORS and dentists here so why pay 20 to 50 times more over price. Mexico doctors and dentist are great same training and skills Again can any one explain where the other 48000 dollars go if u had that done here in the usa or would u rather pay 1200. Because a full mouth extraction 250.00 and the implants are 40.00 each there again some one EXPLAIN to me why I want to pay almost 50,000 when I can pay 1200 and that include a hotel as u rest for 7 days we dont get a hotel visit when we do dentist in usa
Hello! I have been struggling with my mouth since I was a little girl due to health reasons. I wanted to know if I am able to get a mini partial snap on to secure my mouth on the back? The dentist i go to now told me that on order to get implants I need a sinus lift and that seem like a lot of work! Can you please help me in what options are available, I haven't smiled in many years in public. If I find the right dentist I know that I can have a decent smile back
