If you have three full days at this hotel would you recommend just chilling out on the property or taking some of the tours to the rice paddies, monkey forest, etc….
Overdevelopment of resort areas is harming both islands. IMHO. Indonesia needs to put the brakes on large scale resort construction on both islands. Bali is turning into an example of what should not be done to a tropical island and lombok is looking set to end up the same.
ANY human home- with temperature control and food stored inside, even just your normal pantry goods, is a perfect home for pests. An earthship no more so than any other. Don't let the unfortunate pest problem make you attribute pests with Earthships. That's just not accurate. Any home can have a pest issue.
I LOVE Great Basin. It's funny that Nevada has the country's least visited National Park (Great Basin), and the country's most visited National Conservation Area (Red Rock Canyon). It also has the National Recreation Area with the highest fatality rate of any entity in the national park system (Lake Mead). "Funny" doesn't apply to that. That's a superlative that nobody wants.
Re: Valley of Fire. They instituted a timed entry reservation system at around the time that this video was posted. You probably won't need one on a weekday.
Seven Magic Mountains is so popular that it's time was extended, but it's not permanent. It will be moving in the next year or two, although the final spot hasn't been selected.
Locals call it fart Bragg. Sky high prices for everything. Better places an hour north on the Oregon Coast. Glass beach was the city dump that was never cleaned up.
There's actually a dark area in NJ. Its state recreational area on a state road but there are no towns or house or street lights, and in the middle of the night very few cars or trucks going by until day break. I saw a satellite photo of the whole state in its a large enough for great stargazing. At East Point in Southern New Jersey next to the Delaware Bay the Milky way can bee seen.
I DO like to follow “the unspoken dresscode”….GLAM IT FROM TOP TO TOE, From stepping out of your limo to stepping on & off the flight….go ALL OUT! Luggage included!
I would reconsider including Brazil on this list. While Rio de Janeiro can be quite dangerous for foreigners-there are areas you should definitely avoid-the tourist routes are relatively safe. That said, Rio isn’t the best place for spontaneous adventures or leisurely strolls into the unknown. However, the surrounding satellite cities are absolutely stunning! Plus, Rio is just a small part of what Brazil has to offer. There are so many beautiful places to explore, and it's fairly easy to make new friends. Sure, the language barrier can be challenging, but would you rather interact with people who speak English but lack warmth, or those who may struggle with the language but are genuinely friendly and welcoming? 😊
Did the drive once 10 years ago when I moved from Seattle to Las Vegas. Looks like I missed out quite a bit, but I was focused on getting to my destination ASAP. Perhaps some day I might drive to Reno again.
Death Valley in July is my time to go. Hiking in triple digit heat is a beautiful thing. I highly recommend all who are not fawked up on prescription drugs or on a salt restricted diet to go in July.
It is all relative. Moorea can be pretty expensive if you stay in a 5* resort with a private boat for whales 😅 Tonga seems cheaper in my opinion as hotels options are all cheaper for good resorts compared to Moorea. For flights it also depends where you are coming from, i come from Singapore and i have to stop in Auckland to reach Tahiti whereas there are direct flight to Fiji at a cheaper price. For the number of people in Moorea, it depends on days. I spent time with whales where only our boat was there. But yeah this is luck. Also for Tonga, it depends if you stay in Vava’u or Ha’apai. Ha’apai is less crowded and you get more personal time with whales.
Polynesia in general is probably the most beautiful places on 🌍. From Hawai’i in the north to down south in Aotearoa (New Zealand) and everything in between - Nukuhiva (Marquesas) Tahiti, Samoa, Tonga, Rapanui, Rorotonga, Aitutaki, Niue etc. Mana = Power/Strength You have to drink a lot of H20
