Looks awesome!! Just stumbled upon this vid. Saw that you guys commented about progress on the compatibility with after market fuel (acerbis to be exact). Given that you sell this exact gas tank in your shop, I suspect, we're nearly there. Is this correct? When can we expect a new kit sold with a bigger tank?
Thanks for the good words! Indeed, we were looking into that, but put the project a bit in the back seat as we are overloaded with other projects atm. We will be looking in it after Hellas Rally!
Watched it at .5 speed to follow along at some points. Redid the wiring a couple of times. Thank you for the big roll of tape! Took my time and must tell you this rally kit is all that. Glad I went with the no holds barred best. Now for the snow in Colorado to melt.

Hi! The lights are OEM parts from KTM, as are the windshield, light mask, tanks, fuel pump and other parts. The kits have been successfully homologated in Germany and Switzerland so in the broad sense they can be homologated, but they do not come with a TUV certification from us. You can contact us and provide all the part numbers and material specifications , as well as stress analysis calculation for the parts so that we can make your life easier!
Hey guys, I have the light kit on my 690, installed by a KTM dealer. So far its superb. But, I have a rattling noise from the metal box on the frame. Any ideas?

Hello, all cable connecions used to be in a closed box before the modification. But now they are open for rain and water ingress. Would that impact in any way? Greetings
Thanks for the question! So far so good in all installations. Although not directly in contact with the water, the OEM connectors are still seeing moisture in the OEM bikes. All they may need is some care (cleaning and contact spray) during their lifetime! :)
I'm just discovering this in June 2023, and I am making plans to purchase the Rally Kit for my 2013 990 Baja. Am I correct to assume that I will gain clearance between my handguards and the windshield over stock at full turn? This has always been a problem with the stock setup.
Hi and Merry Christmas! Indeed there is a back plate that you can add either a mob. phone and a GPS or two GPSs. It's the adventure back plate that goes onto the spine!

With a Li-Po battery and an aftermarket exhaust (this is the data that we used to weight the bike) it is 163kg (a bit shy off), Fully fueled it is close to 180. @@edg9374 - The 701 Xplorer was done in 2016, it was basically our fist bike to be equipped with the Xplorer kit, since there were other kits in the market at the time and we were expecting changes to happen on the 690. The 690 happened in 2019 (with their new model and frame). Both bikes have the same kits (basically) so the option is yours. Ergonomics are a bit different, and the looks of course, but it is down to looks and availability. Im getting a 2023 ktm 890r as my first adventure bike and i want to put a nav tower on it when it comes but there's a fair few options out there but I like this and the rebel x , anyone out there that can help me with a decision , would be appreciated

@@aurorarallyequipment that looks mint i want to pick up a 701 around december and ill be doing big road trips on toy rides for charity and fund raisers like 7-9 hour rides and most people ride harleys and stuff and sports bikes but i never see any rally bikes or anything like them and so with this id have a nicer ride on our poorly maintained roads where harleys bottom out their suspension soo im just in the process of seeing if theirs any other bikes out their that are cheaper and do the same stuff as the 701 but i cant find anything reliable unless triumph brings out their triumph tiger adventure 660 i dont see any other better options to the 701

@@pasodelnick100 - sorry for the mess Sergi. The message was for the T700, not for the 690. The 690 holds 15 liters of extra fuel, with a separate fuel pump on the right side of the bike, all from the KTM 450 Rally Factory Replica Dakar bike.
Hi guys, I agree about 3 days, I like to do things 100% so happy to take my time. I’m about half way through, couple of notes. The ABS switch I’ve had to secure with a cable tie at the back as the cut out section was a bit to large. The cables that go to the repositioned instrument panel …. I can’t get them to join, and if they did I can’t turn the bars without pulling them apart…. It seems like there should be a joiner or extension piece. Lastly, I’m trying to follow the updated video and are half way through about to install the furl lines and harness….. but it goes do quick and is not clear as to exactly where to place things. Are there online diagrams we can access or even an online instruction book??

The ABS button indeed needs some tape, the reason that it is better to be loose than tight is that it can be damaged in case you want to take it off at a later stage. They are very fragile things and because they affect the speedometer, we try to keep them as safe as possible. Which cables do you mean? You can reach our support at aurora-rally.com line to get a better and much quicker response. Unfortunately no on the diagrams. The reason is that there is no rule book. We suggest our ''opinion'' if we may say, and what we have found it works for that last 6 years of the kit, but you can do it in a different way indeed. RU-vid allows you to change the play speed of the videos, so going at 0.25 may also help. Thanks for your trust, The Aurora Team

The low seat is a bit lower than the OEM (close to 10mm shorter). The rally seat is higher than the stock. The height itself is just a guide, because the width is much more important. As our legs open more due to a wider seat, we cannot reach the ground even if the seat is lower. Not the case on the 701X, just mentioning so that you have better ''visuals'' Apologies for the late reply. The Aurora Team
This is why BMW bikes seem to be expensive - they've made, tested and fitted all these modifications for you. I wouldn't touch all this with a barge pole - what happens if it breaks down in Peru? Buy a Beemer and lose all your worries.
Most of the main and critical parts have been tested by KTM. The tanks, fuel pump, lights, screen and other bits and bobs are straight from their rally factory bike. Regarding the rest, they have been thoroughly tested since 2016 in the deserts of Morocco and through various RTW trips. The good thing is that you can buy all the critical parts from a KTM dealer wherever you are.
BMW makes riders pay for stuff 90% off them is not using. As much as I like the Aurora kit, I don't need the extra fuel. A tower is more than enough for me. In that case, I don't pay for what I don't need.
Depends on the skill level. We are preparing a new system to advise the customers of the time, but you can expect to install it in two days if you are an experienced guy with the tools and have some good general knowledge. The more experience, the better. Otherwise, if you take your time, and want to go back and forth, on and off the installation I'd say you are looking for 3 days tops.

I wanted to know because I have the opportunity of buying one already equipped with the kit but the premium is 4k over buying the standar 701 and kit separately and doing the job myself... I have a crazy idea. I deadly desire to see T700 headlight on KTM 890 Adv. I don't like how Aurora KTM's kit looks like. I want to have KTM but with fairing and headlight from T700. Is it possible using your kits and combining different part to install T700 fairing on KTM? Thank you!!!
