Custom Post Frame Contractor. As you watch my videos and listen to some of things I have to say about my buildings and the way we do things you'll come to find out I take the up most pride in everything I do. We are based out of Republic, MO. and have been in business for 6 years now and have built about 200 to 250 Post Frame Buildings over over the coarse of my career.
not being an idiot here, just want to say any metal reinforcement in concrete should be placed towards the tension side of the assembly not the middle or center
Nice video, nice job! Is it necessary to use foam boards first and then batting or will it be just fine with batting. Thanks! Ceiling is blow in, I chose to insulate myself. Hopefully I didn’t make the wrong decision.
Looks like a nice build. He'll be wishing he went bigger...it's inevitable lol I'm gonna guess that barn with all you did to it is in the $35K to $45K range? I understand if you cannot comment on the price. As usual great job. I wish you were in upstate NY
Great channel -new subscriber here. I really like the M channel. It has a different look and gets away from the typical pole barn look. I've been watching your videos and your prices are almost half the cost compared to similar barns in NY. Did you see a big jump in cost during COVID, have prices come back down to before COVID? Thanks
Morton pole barn prices never came back down. They are basically stealing because they can. People keep playng the ludicrous profit margin to these companies because of the building boom post covid. Pioneer Pole barns out of PA is another over priced company. This Greenhaw guy uses thicker metal, larger girts and closer truss spacing than Pioneer and is about 1/3 less in price.
What does something like this cost if you did just a gravel floor vs concrete? And could you retrofit a slab in a few years if you built one without a slab?
Looks nice to me. I don't live in a barndo but I have exposed parapet walls that are going to get switched to metal. Still looking at types so I'm glad more options are becoming available.
I like it, it looks pretty clean. I wouldn't mind that on my marshfield shouse that you're doing for me. It would probably look really good in the burnished slate. - Chris B.
@kevingreenhaw8205 I was just looking at martin metals website and noticed they have textured colors too and they have it in burnished slate. Have you seen those textured ones and if so do they look good? Also I seen their bat and board and it looks really good. I like the idea of hiding the fasteners
@kevingreenhaw8205 project in sparta, it's a few months to a year out, but you guys do really good work, and I'd love to have you bid the job when I'm ready.
We use rebar on every job but not this one, the customer was going to hire someone else but decided to have us do it and he didn't want the extra expense of rebar and labor so yeah. Now flatwork does not require rebar at all, because its non-structural. That's why you see huge commercial jobs without it so they can use the big laser screed machines.
Yes, we have a lot of customers that do spray foam, I'm just not a huge fan of it and it's price. I like to use the vinyl backed fiberglass insulation then on the inside use R23 mineral wool. Mineral has so many benefits and perfect for metal buildings.
Kevin and his team built a shop for my neighbor, they did a beautiful job and I'm having them build one for me. I'm excited, his team is professional and the attention to detail is second to none!
