@@BDL090754 keep in mind, that paint on the can will burn off. Its not rated for high heat. Might save yourself the time and scrub it all off and paint it with high-temp enamel or BBQ paint before you assemble everything. One thing alot of people overlook is the radiator cap itself. I had over heating issues and replaced the water pump , new coolant and ALOT of other things to help and still had issues. I came across a video that explained about how it could be something as simple as the radiator cap being bad or leaking because it's a pressurized system. I finally replaced the cap and all overheating issues were gone. It really can sometimes be something just that simple
@bigzoffroad
@bigzoffroad 18 дней назад
@@jacktorrence3682 yes! Because if the system can’t reach its rated pressure, it can’t push the thermostat open. That’s a really good point. Idk if i showed it in this video, but i did replace my rad cap when i did this. I usually replace my rad cap any time im doing maintenance on my cooling system. @bigzoffroad Месяц назад
I would recommend only using the OEM (Mopar) thermostat. The aftermarket thermostats are rated differently. But also, have you done an exhaust gas check? Make sure it’s not a head gasket? Are you leaving coolant from anywhere? Is your radiator fan turning on? There’s some big relays for the radiator fan, are those fried? And, do you have grille inserts?

Great video, I've been looking for a more portable cot option for my swag, thought the overhang might be an issue, but it doesn't seem like you've had an issue and looked stable using that big bear oasis cot. Thanks for the info!

Yes! The overhang it does have is actually perfect in a way. Keep rain away from the cot. One complaint, this cot is low to the ground. But it’s also very compact, so good trade off. The Big Bear Oasis cot is can’t find it on Amazon anymore, but any XL cot will be the same dimensions. 👍

I like this one. Its what I'm looking for. I believe the extra holes you referred to at 16:50 are for mounting additional hardware like the Hi Lift Jack holder (been looking for these lately and they mount onto the existing hole locations of the OEM hinges, which align with those outer holes) and maybe the flag holder.

@@bigzoffroad I’m having the same issues. Only my radiator fan won’t turn off. I replaced everything….. sensors, thermostat, fluids…. My pump is fine. @@cmkpro81 i don’t think the thermostat has any control over the fan turning on or off. That’s all controlled by the relays being fed information from the coolant temperature. But yeah, i would only use the MOPAR thermostat. Also, you could take your current thermostat and gut it so it’s just wide open (remove the spring and seal) and see if that works, because it could be that your thermostat isn’t opening? how fast does it grind things flat? Does it grind hot welds really well? How about stainless? does it make a groove well? I weld power poles, and my job restricts cutting wheels of all things. Not even really expensive ones, like, they limit workers to one cutting wheel per week, and they are the cheap ones. You make really good points, and I'd love to see if I can use this to replace my cutting wheel, or maybe even my grinding wheel if it does good enough.
@bigzoffroad
@bigzoffroad 6 месяцев назад
Hey, thanks for the comment and questions. It grinds pretty decently, and now that you ask that, i really wish i had included that in my video to show how it grinds compared to a flap disc… might make a part 2 now… haha! But it’s a flush grinder, so it’s a bit better for blending stuff down. If i have a lot of grinding to do, i prefer a flap disc, and flap discs have a little “give to them” so you can push them into what you’re grinding without bogging down the angle grinder. BUT! It will obviously last longer than a flap wheel or grinding disc will. I don’t really use any grinding whees, just cutting discs, flap discs and this. I would also recommend checking out Nate’s video at Dirt Lifestyle. He did a video on this same disc and covers more than i covered and different things and has a different perspective on it. But, since i bought this, I’ve gone through one cutting wheel and this is still performing like new, and they do honor their lifetime warranty on it, so it’s a “buy-it-once” kind of tool. I’ve never worked with stainless, so idk that i could give you an answer there. And for making a groove. This might just be me, but this disc seems to bite and kick easier than a cutting wheel, so yes it can make a groove, but not the same as a grinding or cutting wheel. Not as “smooth” i guess? Hope that answers your questions! Man… looks like I’m gonna have to make a second video on this! Thanks! 🤣

Follow-up: this video was spot on. Mine was scraping the bottom, so I moved it all the way up, then halfway down to split the difference. The good news is - that resolved the problem. The bad news is - I way over-torqued the bottom screw and broke the shaft inside. So, I need to drill and tap out the broken screw and replace it with a new one.... and not go full retard strength on it next time around.
