Just a regular person discovering new places. The past two years visited about 28 countries. I'm in the process of putting pictures and videos together from those trips going back in time. Some may be out of order, some may be a shorter version of a bigger trip.
My videos are not perfect nor are they sponsored. With that said I appreciate if you like and share your favorite.
I watched another video which was better. They hired a guide and a porter and described each place and they were supporting the economy better with their tourist dollars and showing the food menu's and food. They demonstrated what the inside of the tea houses looked like and the amenities too, the beds, toilets, showers, and even bed sizes and commented on the weather too. It was way more comprehensive and lots of comments about how helpful the guide was too, and the porter carrying their extra stuff, so that they did not have to do that. He also explained that by hiring a porter for 12 bucks a day--it helped the porter who then learned the routes and learned how to eventually become a guide and moved up the tourism ladder. It also instructed on how to tip these people adding to their income and helping the economy since 95 percent of these people all live beneath the poverty line. If I were going to do this kind of trip, I would hire a company to plan my trip, which would cover all my tea house stays and pay for my meals, except for extras, and then plan on having cash for extras and to pay for a porter and plan for a nice tip for both in American dollars of course. It just seems to be more polite if trekking in their country to be accommodating to them, and to be nice to their children and greet them too. These people do not smile and seem grouchy on their video. Bummer.
Thank you for the feedback. This was my experience and the first video I ever put together. I did hire a local female tour guide (which is rare) and not sure if you watched the video all the way through and noticed how we also stopped at a school delivering soccer balls and pencils to the students. Every hikers experience is different, and I hope you do get to do this epic trip one day.
@@adventure4eureka I was not trying to be harsh! Sorry if it seemed so. I watched these two on another travel trekking video and theirs was so overwhelmingly friendly and inviting, compared to yours. Now I get it, being your first video. YOU will get better. Just be more vocal in pointing out stuff happeing on your trip, and smille more like you are enjoying what you are doing. Most of the time, it seemed like you were unhappy and not having fun. But I realize now, you were probably tired out from all the walking! Anyway, thanks for the effort, keep it up, as your had great pictures! It was nice to see a different view of things. God bless!
You just made my day with the bottle cap 😂 But what an amazing experience you had here ! Your trip to Island made me watch this. We’re going to Iceland 🇮🇸 with our car from Sweden 🇸🇪 in august’24. The ferry leaves from Hirtshals / Jutland in Denmark 🇩🇰. Merry Christmas 🎄
Thank you, it really was a lucky once in a Lifetime experience. That bottle cap had me 😀 I wasn't even thirsty 😂 Take me with you 😀 Iceland is breath taking. I haven't been to Sweeden yet, so im not sure how much gas is there, but Denmark gas prices are higher than Iceland. Hope some information from my video was helpful regarding your trip. Enjoy your time there and be mindful of the volcanos (about 30 active on the island) one just recently went off again...
How amazing that you helped your mom's dreams come true! Good to know the bus tickets are a good deal. WOWZA these views would be incredible to see in person.
Loving these BEAUTIFUL views!!! Maui was the first Hawaiin island we visited. I wish we were making videos back then. Thank you for taking us back. New subs :) Hope you enjoy our channel too.
How your family can reach you with the Garmin 2 mini....???? They must have another one? or by connectivity like phone number? Can you please explain, Thank you. Great Video.
Via a web page, they can track my GPS location and send a text message if necessary. I also use the 3 free pre-pared messages that, under my plan, can send in unlimited amounts. 1. let's them know I'm starting my day and everything is good 2. I made a stop, and everything is good 3. I got hurt, but it's not an emergency These messages are sent with my location. Hope this helps. There are videos on RU-vid on how to use the Garmin Mini 2
You guys rocks. With Kalu the dog with you, is a good spirit company. I love you walking that trek with the coloring book in hand so lovely.....many blessings to you all. Thanks for sharing it.
Why did you go both up and down via Tengboche when there is a much more impressive high trail on the opposite side of the valley via Phortse? Vastly better views, lots of wildlife and practically no trekkers. Takes the same amount of days on the way up.
