I bought a 5145 in April, 2022. It has 160ish hours on it now. I like this tractor better than any I have ever used. I have quite a bit of experience with tractors, seeing as how I have worked as a mechanic at a Massey Dealer and used tractors on my farm extensively. I hope you like yours as much as I like mine.

Just wondering if you had that "Rig" in "first dirt-gear"? Because my 8×8 54hp "rig" is TOO FAST to till on first pass @ 1.4mph & pto "humming" at 540pto speed( about worthless). My other "rig" a 36hp with 12×12 "gears down" to 0.25 mph ( super low first dirt-gear) for 540pto does mighty fine. As does my 21hp 3range hydrostatic-slip-o-howl-o-whine-a-matic rig in first range ( about the only thing that it does the best at). Then "wondering" what happened to the "rear flapper guard",( it's there to conrol the "Re-PULVERIZEing" action to INCREASE EFFICIENCY.? Thank you Sir for the Excelent vidio and happy safe tractoring. Best wishes with all your endeavours.
I’m new to y’all’s channel. Great videos. I’ve had goats for years of all breeds but now mainly moving towards just kikos. Are you pleased with them so far? They seem the easiest to me so far.
Why eat when you can play on a tractor. lol! I just bought the same tractor. I actually planned to get the 4550 and saw the 5145 setting there. Im glad I saw it because I love the shuttle shift.
Things to think about --- my goats chew zip ties! ,when you get a chance, "non -"climb " type fencing might be better in a crowd pen,a swing gate at the funnel, stretching the round pen more rectangular, using one of the panels as a wing outside the gate, which way do you want the gate to open for best flow and the placement of the platform next to the perimeter fence keeps you from using the other sides open option. Just some ideas from 50 years of handling goats. I know there never enough time! Good luck with all.
Ive got 2 Nigerian dwarf goats that I keep inside a premier one net fence. The fence I use is 100’ linear feet to that’s roughly 525’sq feet. How often should I be moving them to best control parasites? I started off moving them once every 3 days but, it’s so much work. Now I’ve gone to about once a week. Can I stretch it longer? Maybe 2 weeks or 21 days?
The Kiko vs. Boer thing makes my blood boil. Doesn't matter what breed your goat is. Choose them with a goal in mind and look after them properly and you will get a return on your investment. Buying breeding stock from a sales barn is not a very good idea. I hope you learn from your mistakes. We all make mistakes. Some of them are pretty costly in the long run.
More tractor, please. There aren’t any real videos of folks using this 5100 series tractor. I’m curious how it operates during loader work and general farm tasks. Did Mahindra fix the bucket guide rod?
