What is wrong with calling out fascist Reagan? The first time I voted, I registered Rethuglican so I could vote against the sleaze bag for governor in the primary as well as the general. It was clear then that he was the start of the dumbing-down of the party. The logical end result was the dumbest of all Trump.
What year is this? I am thinking ’67 or ‘68. Great clip! I knew that JD was with CMT before becoming the John we came to know later, but haven’t seen that many of his performances with them.
The CM Trio was very successful before they strayed to political diatribe. Like true liberals they two took off leaving John D with the bills as popularity forced JD to go solo and pay them off. Sound familiar Joey?
It's gone full cycle with political correct speech and BLM hate propaganda outlawing and censuring anything said against their own twisted ideology where election fraud doesn't exist in their media and all Conservatives are the enemy.
Paul Prestopino on lead guitar brought some impressive jazz riffs to this group. To this day, I love listening to his work back there. Fact: the first instrumentalist for the group was a young guy named Jim McGuinn, who later changed his name to Roger McGuinn (of the Byrds)!
The Mitchell Trio's version of She Loves You brings out a whole deeper, more complex and more profound psychological meaning to this song. Not to mention the harmonies and instrumentation. It is , in my opinion, the best version of this song ever recorded.
Thinking about Jeb. Have got GW, Goofy and now perhaps Jeb? Us citizens have giver up a lot of rights (Patriot act) . This should not happen, it would be worse even than Hillary..
Omg i just realised when John turns the wrong way the one in the middle utters "wrong way john" and john proceeds to fight back a laugh in the next dance bit
@Thomas: in name only. The originals are almost all gone now. Bob Shane of the Kingston Trio is still alive as I type this, but his health is not so good. This one show was shortly before the Mitchells disintegrated, and Denver took off on his own.
In terms of record sales folk was on its last legs. But there were still a lot of “folkies” (as they were called) around in 1965. Don’t forget Dylan didn’t go electric until 1966. His hardcore folkie fans went berserk. I remember it well. Sounds funny now.
