The AP Program offers college-level courses and exams that you can take in high school. Taking AP courses and exams in high school could give you an advantage in college by letting you:
Earn College Credit and Placement Save Money and Time Stand Out to Colleges Keep Your Options Open
Nearly all colleges and universities in the United States grant credit and placement for qualifying AP scores. And research consistently shows that AP students are better prepared for college than students who don’t take AP, regardless of their exam score. They’re more likely to enroll and stay in college, do well in their classes, and graduate in four years.
Taking AP can help you:
Get a Taste of College Develop College Skills Discover Your Passion Boost Your GPA
Can students view the videos without teachers assigning them? It would be nice to be able to assign them since there are texts we use in many of these videos.
Has any teacher graded an essay they assigned from AP Classroom? What does it look like and what is it like to grade an essay on AP Classroom? Can you embed a rubric and assess the students using it?
I am so impressed by these videos and I am very pleased with the changes made to AP Classroom. Thank you for helping us during this very challenging time.
Can you tell me if AP Daily Videos will be available for all Units on Sept. 1? Or will Unit videos become available over time? I am teaching both Calculus AB and BC in a single semester virtually this year. Believe it or not I made a plan to cover all of BC in 1 semester (with students who have no prior Calculus experience). Currently we are in Week 3 of school and are about to cover the Chain Rule
Is there anywhere we can find a schedule, by topic, for when these videos will be released for Calculus. Ie. Unit 1 topics: 9/1, Unit 2 topics: 9/15, Unit 3 topics: 10/1, etc. Would be very helpful for planning purposes and ensuring we can use the videos as we initially intend to for our students.
If progress checks have been split up into a part A and part B, do both have to be assigned to get the "full review" or do each function separately as a "full review" of the unit?
Does anyone know if we've been told approximately when the last videos will be released? I'm wondering how much review time College Board is intending to "budget in" at the end of the school year.
I would like to get some of these lessons in the teacher community. Is there some specific name to search to find them? I have tried to search the names listed above on the site but can not find them?
Thank you for the awesome ideas! Please continue to post materials to help those of us shifting to the virtual world. Suggestions for hybrid teaching would also be valuable for those who have alternating days of in-person (Socially distanced) and virtual class.
Thanks for the good and clear explanation. Will students have to be logged in to AP Central? Access, especially for exam-only students prior to the AP registration process, can be a major problem.

Lockdown browser can be used wherever students have internet. I believe they do need to download a driver the first time they use it, but they don’t have to use school computers.
For those of us starting back to school in August, it would be nice to have the videos uploaded prior to September 1st. By that point in time, we will practically be at the end of Period 2.
