Nice home but we must face the truth it was a plantation and we all know that it could have been a slave plantation on top of that home if you ask yourself to be honest how many slaves are buried out there in those grounds if you want to be true to yourself call a archaeologist or people that deal with that type of situation to run a scanner across the ground and he can tell you as a family member in a ownership of that home how many people are buried in that area so it's not about being very sad facts is facts true it's true will the home sale yes it will but do the home have a history behind it that you cannot control yes it does you are another generation you have nothing to do with who bought who what slaves may lay there what slaves May been passed the way what slave have been sold there just because something that your family may done back then that don't mean it should affect you you did not steal the chips out the store they stole the chips out the store or they bought the chips out the store and somebody stole the chips from them so at the end of the day blessings happy holiday to which and each its own whoever must purchase this home please do know it have a legacy of nice structure it tells a story of strong ability from both ends from both point of views from centuries today we cannot control what may happen in the past or decades but we can't control what may occur in the future bye looking into it accepting it forgiveness and moving on have a great day
It would be a truly enchanting experience after it had the benefit of "Professional Design-Decorator" with era expertise and current innovative talents. It appears to have been well maintained.
I love and appreciate American architecture. But I don’t have it in me to appreciate a plantation home. And I don’t have any admiration for the families that own the home. We all know very well that those places were hell. We all know how people were treated. And for everyone commenting that they wish they were there, walking on those fields…. Well, you are fooling yourself bc the only thing you would have seen was probably child labor, women being physically and sexually abused, man being punished in the must horrific ways. Animals suffering and being tortured etc etc.
This is a plantation home and land. I see no beauty. I see the house of a family that got rich out off other peoples suffering and pain. I imagine in that time, the family in the home, pretending to be so high class and above others. Meanwhile they only became rich bc they torture children, women of all ages and man.
Well.......... It would be a lot of work ......But IF you can take just a little less I will take it.................It took some time to count my money but if I didn't miss count I can give you $5.23 cents all in Copper its all a good deal....don't get to excited just let me know .........🐁. Its a beautiful house BUT it could be a Beautiful Home....... don't forget🐀
This is not just a fixer upper or home town remodeling. It is a national registered treasure, and I'm certain there are ideas people have printed that may not be.
Knotty pine paneling like that is very expensive even today. It is thicker than most folks think, with tongue and groove. That parlor was I would think the men's domain, so no it is not going to have wainscoting with pastel colors and wallpaper.
The kitchen and bathroom are way to modern for the date of the home. So sad they didn’t try to keep the age of the old house. Bathroom sounds and counter in bathroom horrible.
Simple solution for the ones on here whining like little bitches about it's horrible past.... Buy the fucking house yourself and tear it down.... problem solved!
Beautiful home- it bothers me that they are STILL called Plantation Homes... brings up the negative past “enjoy this plantation Home” .. oh why is it called a plantation home? Well this was the Home of the slave owners and their slaves worked on this here “farm” .... I mean this here “land” .... I mean this here PLANTATION 😢😢😢😢😢
yeah, bet that Robinson family is filthy rich today THANKS to the hands of those poor slaves.and the only appreciation they got for it was a BEATING every waking hour!! u tell me?? whats so impressive about this documentary???absolutely NOTHING!!!take it off!!!
I know. The coliseum in Rome, such a wonderful example of Roman architecture. Slaves fought there against their will and most of them died there so it should definitely be torn down, right? Might I mention that some of those slaves were from the African continent too... Free your mind.
windstorm1000 I tell you after what white the brothers and sisters have done to black people all over the world, there is no God, no just and loving equal opportunity God,no no no not the the one they gave the slaves, he is a black person‘s worst nightmare a mean SOB.
@Heather Elliott Well lady, and I am probably using the term very loosely, you can blue your comment right out of your arse if you are from down under! You might want to go even further down under because no one had ever treated anyone any worse that you're countrymen have tested the Aborigines! Taking about slaves and mistreatment! Only in the land of down dirty and underhanded it still goes on today! Do take your self righteous comments and blow!
