I play this in an alternate tuning that I came up with the simulate the mandola I originally used to work up this arrangement. On the guitar, I tune my low E string to D and my A string to G.
@@benwaldenmusic Thank you for the tuning hints! I was messing with it this morning with my whole guitar tuned down a whole step. I guess I didn't observe close enough. I'll do what you say when I get back to the guitar this evening.
@@benwaldenmusicWill do. Now that I’m using your suggested tuning, this tune is much easier to play. It feels like it was written with that tuning in mind. I think the barred C in the third part using only my pinky finger works well. C Bb Gm is fluid.
This is totally amazing. There are so many bits I could point out that I dig, but the key changey stuff you did at 3:57 is really inspiring. It sounded like you were going to change to the 5th but it just kept going. Bravo 👏 bravo
