My name is Leander, I'm a Norwegian RU-vidr, reenactor, militaria collector, adventurer, and hobby historian with a passion for history. The main focus of this channel is primarily military history, mainly within the second world war (WW2) timeframe. The channel features various content, such as videos on metal detecting, magnet fishing, exploring and visiting historical sites, collecting militaria, reenactment, restoration etc.
This channel is strictly non-political and my videos are meant to be fun, educational, and informative.
I'm a WW2 reenactor/living history enthusiast and many of my videos feature tutorials, kit reviews, reenactment footage and information about the hobby. I mainly portray the German side within the timeframe.
Collecting militaria is a huge part of my life. Unboxing videos, collectible presentations, and collecting tips, as well as metal detecting and relic hunting are also typical videos on the channel.
Great video again. The mystery objects you found look to me to be the practice charges for the training M39 and M24 grenades. Keep up the good work, looking forward to the bunker being finished.
No, not at this time 😔 But I will be doing more product reviews again as soon as we get this bunker complete ✅ Maybe I will have to do some uniform comparisons next 😎
Amazing! Definitly an A for effort! Looks great and alot of fun :) you guys deserve an award for reenactment bunker building! First prize no competition lolz
Impressive video, WWII History & Reenacting. Looking forward to your next upload. I smashed that thumbs up button on your content. Keep up the fantastic work! Your dedication to the bunker building process is fascinating. What challenges do you anticipate facing as you progress with the construction?
Thank you so much for the awesome feedback - I'm super happy to hear that you enjoy the build! 👍😎 Well, I guess we have to figure out how to get that roof watertight and find the best way to "fake" the multiple layers of logs that ther should be on the roof! But more in that in another video 😉
@@thedocumentdrifter7170 Original hjelm til å pusse opp eller til å samle på? Følg med på Finn, der dukker det opp litt av hvert. Prisene har dsv steget ganske betydelig de siste årene da. 🙂🙂
@@Siegerstark aha 👍😊 yes, in this area in Norway its not uncommon to have 2-3 meters of snow. But it's usually 20-40 Celsius below zero and the snow is usually not so heavy until spring time. I guess we will see this winter if it holds 🥶 Best regards from Norway 🇧🇻😊

Anther great video Leander! I'm just wondering, was dot 44 ever issued to the Nordland division? I have not come across any original photos of the division wearing it so far.
Thank you so much! 😊👍 Though question. There are naturally very few photos from 44/45, but I'm sure you would find some soldiers with dot 44s, but I would stick to the common stuff to be safe. Best regards from Norway 🇧🇻😊
@@ww2historyandreenacting Thanks very much, I just wanted to make sure. I usually wear an oak A M42 smock when doing Nordland anyway. Looking forward tp the next video👍
According to the original building plans as well as on original photos ther should be 3 layers of logs with the layers going in alternate directions, followed by a layer of tar paper and another layer of smaller logs, stone, sand/soil, and various other debris and camouflage. Another alternativ to this last layer, based on original photos, a false pitched log roof was put up. This layer perhaps also helped any artillery or mortar rounds go off before they hit the roof itself and therefore providing extra good cover. We will of course not build with all the layers, but we will use some clever tricks to simulate the real thing, as we want to use as few trees as possible 😊👍
@ww2historyandreenacting thank you for getting back to me with the information. Yes, it would be a great deal of work really for nothing. But looking forward to the end product.
Thats awesome - so happy to hear to you enjoyed the daily uploads/updates on the bunker build! 😊 I have a new bunker building video coming out tomorrow (Sunday)! 😎 Thanks again for watching and for leaving such a nice comment! Best regards from Norway 🇧🇻😊
Thank you so much Jonathan! 😊👍 Oh, yes... Well it's been a while since I last sourced a Norwegian arm shield... Are you familiar with a retailer that goes by the name "Wehrmacht effekten"? 😊 Best regards from Norway 🇧🇻
Very nice video! And a great and productive week! but I do ask sir, what animal hide were you using on your rucksack setup, in your Gebirsjager 5 day reenactment short?
Thank you so much! 😊😎 The hides we used last year on the five day reenacting event were reindeer hides! Ver nice for sleeping on - fantastic insolation from the cold ground 👍 best regards from Norway 🇧🇻😊
Thank you so much and I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed the marathon! 😎😊 Another video is coming out tomorrow (Sunday) so stay tuned for that! 😉 I sure hope the bunker will serve us we'll for many years to come! 😊 Thanks for watching and best regards from Norway 🇧🇻😊
