I know it's fiction, but this is supposed to happen in only a couple hours which is so unrealistic. Like, he apparently made a jetpack, and a fully automated assembly line, while only being made of bug parts, and before the Smith family went to therepy and back.
I really hope the US Marines do not idealize Spartan ideology, since it would tarnish the good reputation of the Marines. Marines are volunteers who choose to serve and risk their lives for a democratic elected government, which admitted isn’t always doing a great job, but at least tries to uphold constitutional and civil rights through rule of law and in the spirit of human rights and to protect and defend those who can’t themselves. Marines are morally so much more admirable then a Spartan society, that only existed to propel an oligarchic aristocratic society where a few were trained to brutally (rape, murder,… you name it) those they deemed weak. A society were murdering a slave… a yes, they were also proud slaveholders… was a rite of passage. Please please please do you history homework. I’m not suggesting that all is sunshine and rainbows with the US government and its armed forces. There is room for improvement and the continuous strive to become something better should be a lifegoal. But already today by a far long shot the Marines are so much better and deserve so much more respect than Spartans who are just despicable.
