We are a family of 4 (and 2 dogs) that enjoy doing all kinds of things outdoors, especially camping and riding motorcycles. We enjoy watching others do the same, especially when we're not able to get out, so we made this channel to show our experiences. It's also a way our families can keep up with us and see what we're up to without enduring the boring cell phone slide shows. Hopefully you will at least enjoy watching and maybe get some ideas of places to explore. Please feel free to comment and give suggestions of what you would like to see or how we can improve the channel to make it more fun to watch. If you enjoy the videos, be sure to like and subscribe for more!
This is the environment that I love but I am getting a weird vibe.??! I literally have goose bumps as I am typing? What is the history I think I am going to have to google it. Would definitely not do this drive at night! It's a nice break from paved roads thank you for sharing! ...Let me go see why the vibe?!? 😂 I might not wanna go at all! 😂
I have big Louie slip ons with a cobra header, boy does it sound great now. I have had v-Hines etc and these sound better in my opinion. The sound is perfect.
My '16 RGU's previous owner installed a Rush header - ceramic coated in and out, no cat, and Rush Big Louie slip-ons with 2.5" baffles. Also Arlen Ness air cleaner and V&H FP-3 (no O2 sensors). The exhaust borders on too raspy so I'll need to repack the baffles. Sounds great, but I know the sound of blown out packing from my other bikes with similar baffles. I like my Guzzi LeMans LOUD but for my Glide a bit more subdued for travel will be welcome. I won't run either without baffles, the Guzzi (built) would break glass.
@@traversingwindingpaths3288Well, I did pull the Rush baffles to check the packing and was very surprised to see it's all there. The Big Louie's with header and 2.5" baffle are just loud, similar to your no-baffle sound but more high end. I'll keep the header but will be on the lookout for something mellower for slip-ons.
This rich mountain road does have way more gravel on it then is on the Parsons branch road. It was quite a bumpy ride this past Sundaywhen I drove on Parsons branch rd. There were ruts in the roadway from heavy rain runoff on the steeper inclines and declines on that road. . Glad I choose to ride on the Parsons branch road instead of taking rich mountain road, but my return trip to Kingsport TN would have been a much shorter drive if I had taken rich mountain road back over into Townsend.
Not particularly helpful. It would have been more helpful to give us a close-up on removing the wiring clip. Push-in and down is not helpful if you are not familiar with where to push and when to pull down.
I’m sorry, I can’t remember and we haven’t had this car for a long time. I wish I had made a better video, but I obviously was new at it. Again, sorry I can’t help more.
This helped my change out my own bulbs with LEDs, one side had burned out and the dealer wanted $18 to change one bulb. It is difficult to see what you're doing in the video once the liner is off. For anyone else attempting this, the tabs are on the side of the light tan bit connected to the gray part. I wasn't able to turn out the gray part by hand, but pliers helped immensely (should NOT have to use a lot of force though).
We really enjoyed it, too and can't wait to go back. We couldn't believe how big and nice the pool was, especially for a State Park! The whole park was really nice. Thanks for the nice comment!
I got a burned light for 5 months and now I know how to change it. I will replace both and I will switch to LEDs. Thank You For The Video. GOOD JOB. 👍🏻
Thank you! You made it look much easier and far less time consuming than it actually was😂😅 but I wouldve never been able to do it without this vid. No more red and blue lights behind me for a dumb little bulb😂
+juan molina haha! Well to be honest, I did it once before I made the video, just to be sure I knew how to do it. Glad it helped and thanks for the nice comment! 😊
I truly appreciate your video! I have V/H head pipes “no cat” with Big Louise slip on’s and would so appreciate taking the baffles out I love that sound! But really want nothing to do with a tuner nor do I want to spend that much! I wish they could reflash or something but just looking around every says you need a tuner.
Thanks! It was a great excuse to ride and experiment. :) I'm not sure if they can just refresh for no baffles, but the Fuel Pack tuner was a breeze to use. It was somewhat expensive (for me, anyway), but it worked really well, and if I can figure it out.... haha
Lol no problem. It doesn’t have to be plugged in all the time, but it’s easier to leave it that way. Not that it’s hard to get in and out, but that way you can do the auto tune now and then just to make sure everything is still good. Plus you can do diagnostics with it, too.
If you haven’t already done it, you should check out Fort clinch in Nassau county Florida. The Okefenokee swamp, people like to think of this place being pretty backwoods, But there is a lot of beauty in this region.
@@bropellerjohnson919 We did go to Fort Clinch, but it was so windy we didn't get any good video. It was pretty interesting, though! You do have a lot to see and do there, we really liked it and will definitely be back.
Rush has the worst customer service in the industry. Even worse when they are purchased from West End Motorsports. Do yourself a favor and use any other brand and retailer.
I can't comment on that part, I bought the pipes in this video from someone on Ebay. The quality and sound of mine were great (I've since traded bikes), luckily I didn't need any customer service. I haven't decided yet what I'll use on the new bike.
I found just the opposite . Don't know about W.E.M. Went only through Rush . They listened to my needs .Three days later the mufflers where at my door !!
Thanks for the video, this helped me access the bulb location. Had a big problem putting the plastic screws back in when re-attaching the liner. These aren't really screws, they're more like plastic tabs. A good half hour of finagling trying to get these tabs back into their holes, including a frustration break, before I got the screws back in. I wonder what the shop would have charged for this?
Yeah, those tabs are frustrating. After they are used they kind of get loose and don't hold very well anymore. I wonder, also, what they would charge. It takes a little while to change, but I'd hate to pay a fortune for just a bulb change. I'm glad I could help, though!
So there is no need to adjust the fuel system if you just remove the baffles? I have a 2017 Road Glade with Big Louies and I took the baffles out and like the sound. Will engine be ok?
Hi, Russ, sorry for the late reply. I've been told that if you still have the catalytic converter you don't need to adjust anything, because it doesn't change the back pressure enough. I only had them out long enough to do the video and I put them back in. If I were going to leave them out, just to be safe, I would want to have a tuner or at least a reflash from someone that can do that.
I just returned from the Smokies on a business trip, wasn't able to enjoy the mountains as I hoped. Totally forgot about Rich Mtn Rd, Parson Branch Rd, and Forge Rd. Thanks for the video, hopefully I'll remember this route the next time I'm there.
Thanks for watching! There are so many options that it's hard to see them all. These kind of videos let me see what I missed or get ideas for future trips, so I figured I'd add one.
Thanks for the kind words! I thought about what I'd like to see/ hear without having to search several videos and hoped it would help others decide. Thanks again and ride safe!
Years ago, I exited Cades Cove from the southwest, driving a Corolla on Parsons Branch Road all the way to US 129. I do not recall it being difficult at all. I will be there in August for the solar eclipse and was thinking a return to Townsend via Rich Mountain Road might be a nice diversion. We will likely have a large passenger van or suv. Would that present any difficulty? Are there pullouts to let other vehicles pass, or will there be a risk, as Mark Gelbart remarks, of traffic jams? Thanks.
There weren't any difficult sections that would cause you any problems, at least not when we were there. It's been 3 years since we were there, but it was pretty much gravel the whole way. Also back then there weren't very many areas to pull over, but it is supposed to be a one way road from what we were told. Traffic wasn't very heavy on it at all, we only saw a couple of other vehicles. It's a very nice drive, I hope you enjoy it!
Are the sb2 bid Louie's , I have a 16 RG special west end recommended the sb2 as they have 3 in baffle on left and 2.5 in baffle on right . Great video with all the different sound bites too well done
I'm not sure which ones these are exactly, but the baffles are both the same size as far as I know. Never thought to check, actually. And thanks for the kind words! Be safe!
Looking at these slip ons for my 2017 M8 RGS, how happy are you with them? Sound is subjective to every ear but they sound almost like the CFR mufflers... Thoughts?
I love them so far. I like the deep sound and they are similar to the CFR, but I think they are quieter than the CFR. That could just be because I still have the CAT in, though. Plus they are cheaper than the CFR's and are easier to find.
Not a problem, once you pull the cat, anything over 2.25 gets a little OBNOXIOUS.....( just my opinion of course ) Looking forward to your next video with that CATLESS head pipe.
Yeah, that's the plan. I'm saving up for a full system to replace all of that, until then I guess it'll be quiet. Sorry for the late response and thanks for the advice. I didn't think about the 2.25.
I don't notice any. It is louder with a full face helmet, but not obnoxious at all. They're actually fairly quiet at speed until you crank the throttle.
