I really don't have problems with the City of Farmington but would like to see a few changes 1) offer a bar with Dancing, None of the bars in town offer it. 2)Improve restaurants, stores on Mooney St. 3)Lots of space for a subdivision or apartments on the old Toyota car dealership located on grand River just East of Drake Rd.
I'm a long time Hills resident and I totally despise what you're doing to the downtown area. It used to be a pleasant place to shop and do business but now there are too many things going on and parking is very difficult, Especially for older residents! Not to mention the TWO driving lanes having gone down from four. No left turns and now you want to tale up every available flat piece of ground for housing?? Are you insane? I was thinking about renting in town in my elder years, but now there is NO way I want to live there because driving down Grand River is scary with so little space. And what about the rest of Farmington, like the area near Orchard Lake? Have you forgotten that area needs even basic rejuvenation? The shopping mall that's near empty on Mooney Street could be changed to a nice apartment complex and the impact on in town parking wouldn't be affected. Please think about what you're doing to our old and loved city!
The community is aware of Library Lofts. Concerns were not enough parking for 25 units + additional parking for Commercial/Retail owners, Customers, Police/Fire emergency Parking as well,
