Raw interviews...non rehearsed...light/funny...and questions sometimes that some of the STARS have never been asked. That is what I bring. Some of the biggest names over the years...either here on in print are Geoff TAte, Joe Satriani, Carlos Cavazo, George Lynch, Lexxi Foxx, David Coverdale/Bryan Adams/Randy Bachman/Mike Reno/Dee Snider/ etc. Any questions email me @ernestbcrtskinner@gmail.com or ernestskinner2671@yahoo.com or call text 705 257 8678. My website is at bordercityrocktalk.ca .. If you want to E-Transfer or Paypal me I would appreciate it; it helps with upgrading my editing software, & toys that help with these videos. I started this channel after much success interviewing rockers and writing articles. I decided since I was lazy that this would be easier.....and it is. I do admit that even though I do not transcribe anymore, I transcribe in other ways such as video editing and graphics which 2 be honest is quite fun. I love my life and know you will enjoy this channel.

Thank you SO much for talking to Eric about his vocal warmup and vocal routine. It’s a topic I’m interested in that doesn’t come up very often in the rock and roll space. Believe it or not, Broadway actor Drew Gehling lost his voice - calluses on his vocal cords. Long story short, he worked with Dr. Hayley Borne at Columbia University, and they developed an exercise that helped Drew get his voice back - and it was the humming through the straw thing! For real! So much respect to Eric for getting through this tour. I don’t think people consider how Billy and Paul and Nick, yeah they have to take care of their hands, but at the end of the day, they can hang up their instruments and keep them safe in a case. Vocalists don’t have that luxury. So then they have to live like a nun, as Eric alluded to. A lot of discipline and kudos to Eric for managing it all. 21:01 Eric, don’t you DARE cut your hair. You’re getting into Brian May territory now and it looks stunning. Boo to Stacey for convincing Eric to chop the pretty boy hair and three cheers to Denise for convincing him to grow it out again. Seriously, bitches love the curls. (It’s me; I’m bitches.)
yeah Eric is a nice guy just like you and I .....we always here negative about celebrities, but when you experience it like with Eric... it is amazing.... ON THE OTHER SIDE THOUGH WITH CHARLIE ELIZABETH PRINCE WILLIAMS AND ALL OF THAT SHIT.......THEY ARE NOT NORMAL PEOPLE......AND IN MY OPINION FOR THOSE THAT PINE ON THE "ROYALS" BECAUSE OF THEIR ORCHESTRATED STATIS SOCIETY ARE JUST AS MENTALLY CHALLENGED......WHOEVER CREATED US AS A LIFE GIVING FORCE OF LOVE DID IT EQUALLY......NO MAN OR WOMAN IS BETTER THAN ANOTHER...........RRRRRAAAANNNNTTTTT OVER LOL...
nice......buy you need to correct your spelling ..only one D in Canadian.... now a friendly bit of teasing about Americans....all in fun........What year the the dictionary include AIN'T Y'ALL HUH? AXE (A QUESTION) and HUH? lol....Just kidding my friend. Did you Subscribe ?
Not only was Ronnie a superb powerful vocalist and great songwriter ,he was a gentleman, very articulate and a very interesting man in interviews. He is sadly missed RIP Ronnie! Great interview!
Greetings from England. In the 80s we all liked different bands but EVERYBODY loved Dio. Thanks for the interview with Wendy, please have her on again.
Thanks so much for the comment my friend. I would love to have her on again for sure. I hope you SUBSCRIBED and please please SHARE this all over the UK Facebook Instagram etc...
This dude knows nothing. Tony did not work in a meat department. He chopped off the tip of his finger, with a shear. (Bends metal ) And he made the tip for his finger..
Hey Don it's 34 felony counts. And there's nothing in the constitution that says a person can't be elected or serve as a president with a felony. That's already been established. You might as well start packing you washed up POS! You should be smart and just keep your mouth shut. I love how entertainers want to give us their options.
Fantastic interview with Wendy. The world has been just a bit darker since Ronnie passed. I only wish that more information/documentation was available on Elf and Ronnie's early life and career. Such a rich, vibrant and varied musical tapestry. Even the big Dio documentary from a few years ago just kinda glossed over that period in the rush to get to Rainbow. Heres my fav Canadian band, Santers.Anyway, cheers keep up the great work.
thanks for the nice comment my friend. BTW; The Little River Band is Australian but since Canada and Australia are part of the Commonwealth...that may have thrown Ms Dio off....Cheers
Singer needs to stay home. Sick of these old ass rockers either teach someone young to play a decent song or forget it. I’m tired of looking at these old dudes.
Fellow Canadian from Ontario and that is the exact same way I became a bass player. They guys saying "Let's form a band - get a bass and you can be bass player". Ok! Lol
I had the pleasure of seeing Badlands at a club in Hickory NC on the “Voodoo Highway” tour. They were the LOUDEST band I’ve ever experienced in a club setting. The amps on the backline were smoking…..literallly. Greg was an absolute monster, playing a black ESP Phoenix bass. Jake was just amazing. I saw a lot of shows back in the day, I’ve forgotten many, but Badlands is forever etched in my mind. Greg, thank you for making my teenage years just a bit more memorable 🤘
They say never meet your heroes , because you may be disappointed , but I recently met Greg at Bizarre Guitar and it was an absolute pleasure to meet him , a true class act
Yes flipping numbers in an equation makes math frustrating who knows what numbers I would see cause the next time I would look at the problem who knows what way I'll see the numbers your the first person I've heard say they flipped numbers too
I rember listening to Eddie Trunk that metal show going to work at nights Saturdays years ago!!! So many folks would ask WHERE IS JAKE?? Eddie somhow got hold of Jake for an interview and letting know he was missed and loved by many fans!! I saw how cool humble Jake is, Hope he gets better soon cool interview thanks to you both
Greg Chaisson is one of my top bass players. Love his style of playing. Those who don’t know, just watch any old live Badlands video. Would love to see the guys of Badlands do something, maybe with some guest vocalists.
Great interview and so nice to hear such great things about Randy! love the first three Autograph albums and every time I hear Turn up the Radio! I crank it!! Steve Lynch's solo rocks!!!
Country is going downhill in....CANADA????....394 MILLION GUNS in AMERICA and Trumprads are promising a CIVIL WAR in November!!!!....But you figure CANADA is the country going downhill???...Yeah, I will take the Great White North thank you...But hey, don't really want to make this about politics.
@@bordercityrocktalk7576 America is divided because one side said in 2020...IF We Win it's legit, if we lose it's rigged and stolen...and have been pretending ever since...Canda? If Trudeau loses to PP and the Con's their will be a smooth transition of power. We still have ELECTION'S not INSURRECTION's in Canada.
Mark, you are my adopted uncle and I loved having a part of Great white in the 80s. I will tell you. Life is short and you and Jack are awesome I know, being in a rock band is like a f***** u* Marriage. reach.out to the guy. Cause the 2 of you together was f****** amazing. Love you guys, Thor. God bless you both And f*** the politics of it all.
Thanks for the comment; I really do hope that they can reach a friendship again. Life is short and I don't know how healthy Jack is these days. I met him a few years ago at a show and he seemed like a good soul.
The first Badlands lp is god level. That and the first Blue Murder lp are astonishingly good. Then unfortunately their successive records were only magnificent then really superior. Saw,and was really only there for,Badlands open for Tesla and Great White in Philly in '89. Beyond awesome. Greg seems like a straight up class act. Great interview, gonna sub to this channel.
