Well I’ve just gotten mine and I like it so far but the thing I bought it for it doesn’t do. What I need it for was to announce texts that I get on my iPhone and I’ve been testing it and so far it’s NOT doing that and I can’t figure out why. I’m phone savvy so YES I’ve tried everything and verified all the necessary settings. Still nada. What also bugs me is the updating feature doesn’t seem to work all that well. The so called “manual” and I use the term loosely is not very well written and only gives you generic information as to how this is performed. From what I understand you go to this portal to update the firmware and I did that…successfully, or so I thought. When you click on “update” the devices led changes color, to a purple/red/yellow to show that it’s downloading the firmware. Ok, great. THEN the manual says when the update is complete, the led will change color to a solid blue and it did, it changed to a baby blue color. Per the manual, when it changes to a solid color, after 30 seconds, disconnect it from the USB port and then reconnect it again for the update to “complete”. Whatever that’s supposed to mean. Well I did what it suggested and after reconnecting it, the led changed to the dark blue led that it normally shows and it’s blinking. So I thought “Well that must be it working on the update”. But the problem is after freaking 3 hours it’s still on and blinking. Uhhh….how long is this exactly supposed to take? The manual says NOTHING about that and from the firmware listed on my HUD display, it still has the old firmware version listed so now I don’t know what to do. Schmidt Spiele is an European company & they say on their website that they only offer support for the European Union so there goes me trying to sort this out. Now I own device I can’t get support for perfect. Unless you have any ideas or experience in what I’m asking about. Thanks in advance.
Picked up a pair of these to use in stereo mode, I don’t use the app because it’s horrible. The speakers sound wonderful and work fine with my OLD IPAD which uses Bluetooth 4.2 the same as Bose SoundLINK FLEX speaker uses. Upgraded to a newer IPad PRO which uses Bluetooth 5.3. The speakers lag on my new IPad they are out of sync with videos and movies the lag is very noticeable and quite disappointing. All avenues have been exhausted trying to correct this problem. Latest firmware installed on both speakers via Bose update website. Factory reset the speakers does not fix the problem. Renaming the speakers does nothing as well. My conclusion is the Bluetooth 4.2 is not fast enough for newer devices using newer Bluetooth technology. BUYER BEWARE.
i recently saw the amazon website for this product that it says (upgraded) and my question is , what upgraded ? i dont see exactly what it upgraded. any help anybody?
