My daughter and I have been doing craft fairs for about 2 years now, and, yes, some are great and others not so great. We've learned to take the good with the bad and move on. We are thankful to God that we have the opportunity to sell our products and meet and chat with so many wonderful people. As you said, meeting other vendors and having some great conversations with shoppers (even if they don't buy anything from you) is a joy! Thanks for posting this and for the prayers!!!

Your sharing about so many things is extremely helpful to people. Your heart just bubbles over with God's wonders in your life. I raised 4 children by selling my things to gift stores wholesale and going to several craft fairs per year. I couldn't afford to take them to Disney or Hawaii which their classmates were constantly experiencing but we had working vacations. Most craft fairs didn't pay off very well but the experience is awesome. We even traveled out of state. Today my kids are grown with families of their own and are very successful thanks to the Lord and they can afford to go to Hawaii.... but they mainly work a lot like they saw me do and love their lives in their own cities. They chose to live in big cities where there are many things to do locally and life is basically one big adventurous craft fair environment for them. I know where you are coming from. It's so hard to make a living doing art and craft work. Cannot do it without God.

@@DezyJewelry no Ive done others it really seams like the small town ones do better for me guess the small town people have nothing better to do than go to events, bu the way I own Crystal Bear Leather so all of my products are leather related even the earrings I make

How about mentioning they have a raffle. At some of my shows they ask the vendors to donate something from their craft for the raffle. Thats how they avoid charging for admittance. I’ve only heard of a $5 charge. $17 is ridiculous. Glad you had a great time. It’s not all about the money.
Loved the environment and a great day, weather-wise! Truth is that a lot of factors for success at a craft sale depend on the organizers of the event. All we can do as vendors is make the best of what we are given to work with. You did an amazing job of displaying your jewelry and made the best of the day. That made the day a success!
