Do you dream of leaving it all behind and traveling full-time with your family? If so, you're in the right place. We're Lauren, Daniel, and Baby Dash. We're an American full-time travel family exploring the world one incredible place at a time. We're entrepreneurs, runners, foodies, and adventurers at heart. When we're Stateside, we live #rvlife in an Airstream. But, when we're abroad our home is wherever we find ourselves. We've been a full-time travel family since January 2019 but didn't start our channel until we got the Airstream. We figured we should probably document how insane we were for moving into an RV with ZERO prior experience. Why Wanderlocal? As small business owners, we've always been passionate about shopping local. As we travel, we're featuring our favorite locally-owned businesses that we find along the way. We hope by sharing our adventures, you'll be inspired to get out there and wanderlocal too. Trust us, it's good for the soul. ❤️
You all are too cute! Have you considered getting a different van floorplan where the boys can be closer to you while driving? I live in Orlando so I know the heat all too well. Bless you going through it pregnant! Be safe!!!
I feel so blessed our Class C can sit in our driveway and we have a 30 amp outlet. We keep the AC set on the max temp, but it still kicks on a few times a day in this heat to keep the humidity down in there year around. Looking good mama! I'm obsessed with those sunglasses
Nice to see you all enjoying yourselves instead of all the stress you have had . Lauren you look amazing . Dash is getting cuter by the day. Enjoy each other and little man number 1
Which one can get up to speed faster? 1) class B airstream 2) truck pulling the airstream Keep in mind what kind of schooling you need to do with dash in a few years. Home school mom or public school with relaxing days.
Dash seems to fall asleep as soon as you start that van!! My kids were never like that, my youngest was two when we drove cross country and swear he screamed the whole way!!
Dash is the man, he was a natural driving the van. I understand what you are saying about the van, hopefully all the bugs have been worked out🙏. Love seeing the Classic. Awwww poor baby was afraid daddy was leaving him🙁. ❤❤❤
Glad seeing things are going well. Hopefully, van 1.5 works out great. Looks like Dash is daddy's little partner. He will have big brother duties soon enough. Thanks for sharing and have a great day.
I was looking into buying an airstream, I am putting that purchase on hold. Why pay premium prices for lemon and a company that does not standby their product
Good to see you all back out on the road! Irma and I finally did it, we are fulltime RV's now. You asked if folks would come to Florida in the summer for camping, well, it has been our first destination in our fulltime life, it was driven by two things: I had to be down here for work last week and next week we are going to MAC to get the ceramic coating put on our 2024 Flying Cloud 30FB Office. As I type this we are at Magnolia Park Campground. How do I like it? HOT! I am very thankful our Airstream has really good AC, While I would love to setup outside to work, not down here right now, thanks but no thanks! We are coming down to Tampa for a few days. Do you have any recommendations for good beaches and/or good places to eat that won't break the bank?
At Sleeping Bear Dunes you missed the longest path that goes down to the water. If you can't make it back up and have to be rescued you get fined and charged for the cost of rescue
We had the opportunity years ago to visit Cypress Gardens before it became Lego Land. It was far from being in its prime with many rides removed or closed but the gardens were beautiful and they still had the water skiing show. An important part of Florida tourist history, I’m glad my children got to experience it. I’m also grateful that it got a second life as Lego land. I love your channel and love seeing Dash grow up. Wander Local every one and please subscribe and give more likes. It costs nothing and means so much to these channels that bring us great wholesome content. ❤👍

Glad to see the van is up and running. In your travels, have you found other AS Interstate vloggers that report fewer problems with their's? I'm interested in getting an Interstate, but your "adventurers" make me wonder if a Gretch might be a more reliable travel van. Any feedback?

Congrats on getting the van back AND camping! I have to ask... was that some foreshadowing from Daniel about next year's challenge?? with all that swimming and cycling he's included along with his running? I know of ONE sport that requires all three!! Just asking... Safe Travels and Happy Training!
We just installed the jack nuts and thumb screws. Pretty easy task, all in all. We drilled out all 16 holes, as we have 4 return air vent registers. We first drilled to the first drill size on all holes. Using a paper plate or bowl, worked great. We then can back and drilled out the hole to the second and filanl size. A tip to getting the jack nut seated properly. Inser the provided screw into the jack nut and tighten till just 3 or 4 thread show on the other end of the jack nut. Hole the jack nut vertically, so you can slip the head of the screw into the tighening gun (I forgot the name of this device). Squeeze the handle slightly, till you feel pressure. At this point insert hte jack nut and squeeze the handle two, or so, times. You will feel that it will not get any tighter, then click the release lever. Unscrew the screw and washer and you are ready to move along to the next jack nut. Just take your time and figure out your process. Took us about an hour to do all 4 registers. We were vacumming as we went along, so we could capture ayn metal shavings. Pretty easy and definately and upgrade to what is provided by the factory. Some slightly longer and wider sheet metal screws, also do the trick.
