Hi, I'm Bill. For the last few years, I've been building various stereo systems. I play and collect most genres of music, and enjoy finding the highest quality audiophile recordings to play back. I like playing acoustic and electronic drums, and I have recently started playing in drum circles.
I have also seen the following classic rock bands live: -Aerosmith -Alice Cooper -Bruce Springstein -David Bowie -Dave Mason -Donovan -Eddie Money -Emerson, Lake, and Palmer -Genesis w/ Peter Gabriel -Hot Tuna -Jethro Tull -Led Zeppelin -Marty Balin -Pink Floyd -Renaissance -Stan Ridgway -Steppenwolf -Steve Hackett Solo -Terry Bozzio -The Tubes -Todd Rundgren -Yes
There is no difference, they changed the control panel and that's it, I better buy alto busker, it has more effects on voice and at half price, shame bose
I buy s1 pro plus with the sub and not loud enough to cover 100 people with vocals. Made in china and the cheapest speakers u can buy in china .so year
Jbl sounds horrible, does it really sound that bad? I barely returned the BOSE S1 PRO+ because it had a broken bass, and at volume over 50% the bass was almost non-existent. And now I placed the JBL compact order, but I think I have to call Thomann and cancel the order. On the website it says that JBL has 112db. Am I to understand that Makie sounds the loudest of the 3? with bass, medium, high?
What’s is the loudest battery powered speaker I can bring with me on a boat just to set up on the lake? Size don’t matter I want that loudness and some bass!
I want you to know that I think you are doing a great job. I have a bose s1 pro and I just bought an Alto Busker for my son because he just started doing Trivia in some local bars. Thanks for what you do
One thing I'd think to emphasize: Mackie says mixer w 2 channel, the Alto really has 3 channels when you count the 3.5mm over in the BT channel. That'd be important to me in some situations. Alto wins.
Can i use 2 sub 2s for upto 200 people? Also which one do you suggest 2 elx200 12sp vs 2 sub 2s. Iam a super skinny guy and cant carry around big subs.
Great video! Hey sir, I'm looking for 2 Bluetooth speakers to mount high in a large covered horse arena (lots of dust). Would like them to be powered, rugged, and Bluetooth so they can connect to a phone, ipod or a headset mic. Any recommendations?
HK Move8 is excellent sounding speaker. I own one as well as EV Everce8. I like both a lot, and use them both. In my opinion both are better than my Bose S1
Hi , I've bought the bose l 32 pro I'm not sure which sub to go for, I am a vocalist guitarist I play with acoustic and vocals and also electric guitar and backing tracks, I like the portability of the sub 1 but I can't help thinking that for a given volume it will not be able to throw the bass as far as the sub 2 , some people on the web say the sub 1 bottoms out when you go above 12 o'clock.
I'm considering the Thump. I need it for an outdoor wedding. I think I may need two. I want to keep it simple. Other use may be for an outside 4th of July church event. I want to keep it wireless. How do I include a microphone - wirelessly? I will just use a laptop for the music source.
Forgot to mention! If in the future you get the Bose Pro32, you can buy only the column and you will already have the Sub1. In my case I have the Pro32 with the Sub2 package and I bought the Sub1 for when I need light weight mobility and not max bass output.
Hi, really nice review! Can you clarify, i dont quite follow - 87dB for the JBL and 100 for the Mackie, and you say "when you go from the JBL to the Mackie that is 3 dB more, like 2 jbl’s"? Is the Mackie then at 90 dB or is it actually 13 dB louder than the jbl? Sorry, but I get à bit confused here…😅 The best!/Dennis
I bought 4 of the s1 pro speakers and sent them all back the battery was a big fail for music playback and voice I only got 3 hrs max and when I bu a product I expect it to work as stated, I waited to see if something else would come out and the Buskers I bought 2 and the battery life is amazing, the sound is loud and clear and the mixer is far superior as far as features, I am buying 4 more my experience , I am 15 gigs in with these , they are loud and portable 4 hrs and the battery doesn't come off the green
The question is get the Alto busker now or wait 6 months and get the S1. Probably wait, I just don’t know how to judge since I’ve never really heard it in action anywhere. My street cube ex did the job but it only lasted a few years. My application is using blue tooth for backing and singing for no more than 100 outdoors.
I have heard these amps aren’t much more than home PAs. Most reviews avoid singing through these or using Bluetooth while playing along. So confusing. Thanks for the demo.
Just an FYI on the Behringer.....The battery is easily replaced by unscrewing the back panel. A new battery cost about $12. My original battery lasted over four years (no clue how many hours that was in use). That being said, and while I really do like my Behringer, I got mine when it was around $100 in 2019 and not a lot of competition in the small, portable, battery-powered speaker market. At today's prices any of the other speakers in your review represent much better value even at a higher price. The Behringer does what it does just fine, but it's a - what? - seven to ten year old design which is ancient by today's standards.
Hello sir, good afternoon. Newbee here on mixer world! Haha... since I've been looking for a yamaha mixer to buy, your video convince me to go for this model. Thank you for your advise..❤
I just got my Alto Busker the other day. I immediately compared it to my S1 Pro. The Bose has more low end but the Alto has crisper highs. Both speakers are loud enough for my needs (solo acoustic guitars) but for the price difference I like the Alto. I could get two of them for less than the price of 1 S1 Pro. I alos like the battery light indicator on the Alto.
You have the most information on this busker! Can you confirm the battery is replaceable? Nobody seems to have covered this. That's potentially $300-$400 lost when it stops holding a charge.
