This is a crappy promotion video by an executive that never uses this thing... This is the most frustrating system to install and use. I just want it to turn on and keep warm. Can't do even that. It just heats up then then shuts off. So I bought a fancy controller 3.0 and now have 4 hours just trying to get it to turn on. NO info anywhere !!!
Iv had 2 Chinese diesel heaters. Each cost very little. We have lives in -0⁰c temps and lived off them. Allways work perfectly. 2 years and still going perfect. All iv heard about webasto is they have issue after expensive to fix issue.
Customer service does not stand behind their products. I have been told to contact the manufacture and went through over a year of going through there so-called "remedies". Now I am being told to send unit back to the manufacture at my expense despite the fact that the $2000 purchase has never worked correctly. I was told to keep my receipt and some day I may get my money back if they find it to be defective. Since the problem can start 5 minutes after I turn on the unit or 5 hours after he returned the unit on. I have no doubt that they will say that there is nothing wrong with the unit and I will be out the shipping costs and will be sent back my nonfunctioning unit. Defender markets this unit with the verbage "2-Year warranty with unmatched product reliability" but wont stand behind it. I have done over $15,000 of purchases with this company and they should be ashamed.
@@fernandog.1575 They asked me to send it to them at my expense and then when they contacted Defender and told defender to give me my money. So, yes. I got my money back.
Great, but wish this had more detail (ie, "Instructional Video"). Does the 3.0 allow us to control the FAN SPEED? Specifically, keep it from ramping up to "AIRPLANE ENGINE" volume mode when the diff. in thermostat to ambient temp is more than about 7 degrees? It's impossible to sleep when the FULL BLAST fan comes on, but we can't find a way to sit ramping speed, threshold, or reduce the max speed (we'd rather it take a bit longer to heat up and be able to get some sleep!) Also, can we perform a "Soft Reset" from the bluetooth (without having to take the unit apart, jump breakers, etc. )? Does it allow us to set a 7 day temperature based schedule (eg, at night turn down to 60ºF, but an hour before morning awakening turn up to 70º, and then turn down to 65º during the day)? OR is it just five "Turn On/Off" times (with no temps), which themselves get cleared out each time the unit is powered off? Lastly, for Airtop 55, can we 1) see/set offsets for higher altitudes (eg, 8,000ft+)? And can we see when it performs "Auto Carbon Burn Offs" as a result? THANKS!

My son has an aftermarket Webasto sunroof in his 2007 FJ Curiser. I think the motor is going out and the wind guard arm in front is gone. How do I know what kind of parts to get?
Every time it is turned on and off, it needs a lot of electricity, and if I set it low and gentle .. until it restarts four or five times in the morning .. the battery does not have the power to start.
My heater works well .... but I have two problems .. we do not have Euro 4 diesel here in Iran and I pour oil instead and the part that heats up and evaporates the fuel, very soon, gets dirty and It does not work!
This thing is an expensive piece of junk I’m constantly having problems with it and was a waste of money I spent. I’m freezing my ass off and I can’t get the damn thing to stay lit. It’s a big piece of junk
