This video is a classic. Gary Taubes started my journey on the road to reversal of diabetes with what he wrote, said and modeled, and Dr Dayspring's insights here helped me so much to understand lipids.

Ryan says that 20% of first responders are suffering PTSD and 34% have signs and symptoms in at least one of the 5 categories of PTSD. This was a huge surprise to me. He also acknowledged the great reluctance to admit to having PTS symptoms and that it is the first step in management. And, I loved the way he recognized continuing PTS symptoms but with his knowledge and understanding he is able to control those symptoms effectively.

Has anyone noticed the thunder clap at 6:19 in the video? It is from an automatic misting system that sprays the vegetables in the produce case every 10 minutes. Earlier in the video at 3:00, you can see one of the speakers where the thunder comes from on top of the produce case, on top of each speaker is a strobe light that flashes at the same time as the thunder and mist to simulate lightning. It is very cool and it is becoming more and more rare as time goes on as many of the misting systems that have thunder sound effects are from late 90s and early 2000s and as these misting systems age, sometimes the mechanism for the thunder sounds stops working. Also, more and more stores’ produce managers have decided to mute or disable the thunder sounds as they have noticed that some children do not like the thunder sounds.

At 6:19 there is a thunder sound from the produce, there are also strobe lights that simulate lightning. This has a different thunder sound effect then the thunder sounds that are in most Safeway stores, whose misting systems are made by KES Science and use the KES Misty Tunes thunder, do you know what brand of misting system is used at this store based off of the sound of the thunder?

This neurologist should be checking insulin levels and inflammatory blood marker for a REAL medical diagnosis, then prescribe a low/no carb diet before ANY medications. It sounds like he's winging it, doesn't it?

I wonder why these excellent people lump glucose and fructose into the same thing. People who eat only potatoes normalize their weight. Solely glucose coming from the starch. With exceptions for those with genetic abnormalities, the pathways for denovo lipogenesis from glucose is a steep climb. But the pathway from fructose is far more prolific. Certainly we agree that processed food is unhealthy. Also Dr. Dayspring has spoken about the role of fiber to help remove excess cholesterol from the bile secretions. Yet here he seems to make fun of the folks advocating high fiber diets. Only plants have fiber. I hope that Dr. Dayspring and MR. Taupe have a chance to address these questions. I respect them both.

I LOVE YOU GUYS! I have been yelling from the rooftop in order to ALLOW my Mom to use supplements for her dementia. For 9 months, I cared for my Mom, was in control of her diet and supplements. It was a lot of research, trial and finding things my Mom would use which she could do, according to her current state of mind at that time. ie: I found she was hiding some supplements in little cups and not taking them. My Mom has always had trouble swallowing pills and capsules and hated to do it. Hundreds of dollars of supplements she refused to take, but I finally narrowed it down to about 4 things, and coconut oil was one, B12, Vit D, and one other great product. With fewer capsules to swallow, one being dissolved under the tongue, and one very tiny D cap, I was able to get her to take these things. I put her on a low carb diet, included turmeric and cinnamon as much as possible. Toward this time, I asked my older sister to help with an issue I found which caused my Mom to need chiropractic care two times, which could have easily been avoided. It was the first time I asked for help from anyone. My sister blew a gasket and had my Mom taken by police to a state mental hospital. OMG! Through lies and manipulation my sister ended up getting Guardianship over my Mom's person and her property, and immediately after my Mom was taken out of her home against her will, my sister moved in and still remains there, even though she has a husband and business 2 hours north of here. My sister has REFUSED to provide my Mom with those basic nutrients which I had previously researched which helped her lead a normal life. While in her home, my Mom wrote letters almost daily, she did her own laundry, she lived alone, she heated foods I cooked, did her own dishes, made her own bed, etc. All I did for her was grocery shop, vacuum, and pay bills, and make sure her house was warm by checking her propane levels and calling the gas co. At court, my opinion seemed not to matter, because by the time court happened, my Mom had been off all supplements, was being fed a high simple carbohydrate diet, plus was being fed ASPARTAME KOOL AID 3 times/daily in the state hospital where they took her. Besides all the stress she was under, my Mom's eyes rolled in her head and she came to court dressed like a bum, not even afforded her own clothing. In other words, by the time my sister and the state had three months of stress and toxins, and improper nutrition FORCED upon my Mom, she actually became the "brain dead" person my sister had accused her of 3 months prior. My Mom no longer is capable of writing letters, and she lives in the moment barely, as her memory and forethought ability are almost 100% compromised. I have been fighting for my Mom's life ever since, trying to make it possible for her to be able to have the nutrients she needs and deserves as a human being. My sister refuses to communicate with me on these matters, and I am about ready to sue her because of this. Our family has labeled me as the bad guy because I have out rightly accused them of trying to kill her, and in my opinion, this is what they are doing by their neglect. I am 100% certain that her life span has been shortened by their neglect. The problem is, when a moronic physiologist testified in court against everything I have studied and learned from many Doctor's and many studies, the court basically mocked me when I said that Dementia can be reversed. That doctor said no. He also said there were no programs for my Mom to use in order to remain in her own home, which I also found later to be a false statement. Thank you to doctor's like yourselves, the disease of Alzheimer's dementia will not always have to remain a death sentence. Sincerely, LJD (daughter of a dementia victim)

Jackie Cox, totally clueless. Pointing to the pastries and calling them sugars, what a moron. Why didn't she point to the apples and say that? Because she's too stupid to know that apples are over 90% carbs (sugar) while donuts are about 50% carbs. Note to Robb: Fat is the least satiating macronutrient while protein is the most satiating, studies have proven this.

Thanks Dr. Dayspring ... phytosterols are an issue, Dr. Gerogia Ede cured her own fibromyalgia by eliminating night shade plants, which create "Don't Eat Me" chemical defenses, i.e. chemicals to ward off predators ... there are many incompatibilities with plant nutrients .. Modern medicine has abandoned “Root Cause” investigations in favor of Diagnosis and Drugs … seems odd as metabolism is a “Response Mechanism” … 70 Going On 100 … the Centenarian Diet … maybe 70 Going On 128 … the Hayflick Limit … or if a fan of Ray Kurzweil … then this is all a Moot Point.

@carrollhoagland1053

Correct ... Obesity, is not a dirty word. Doctors look at it as Too many Calories In, Too little Exercise Out, when they should look at their own failure of not recognizing it as a Fat Accumulation Disorder and diagnose it as such. The AMA would then spend time training doctors and do the research that is needed in the field of Nutrition. Evidence now shows that like any growth defect, obesity is primarily a Response, not a cause. Obesity is a Hormonal/regulatory disorder, and an Addiction. A Complete Failure of the AMA ...

Right we now know that there is no known carbohydrate deficiency disease .. hence no reason to eat carbs ... LCHF seems to be solving this issue ... Correct, and there is no known carbohydrate disease, hence no reason to eat carbs, human metabolism is not designed for carbs beyond what we would find in 2 cups of broccoli ...
