@@tombeeston2010 you can do either, pros with doing one at each end is if you get sharked or something and cut the main line you get everything back & can re join the main line. I only set one as it’s one less float & rope too carry around everywhere on a smaller boat.
Yeah looks like a good pond, trim back the trees so you can see more of the pond. Build more hides to cover more of the pond. A frame blinds would be a great idea to give you more options. Me and my Old man had the same problem with our pond having the hide in the wrong place. The first time shooting the pond this season.
Bit of a mixture. I use a Beretta A300 12g , my son Van uses a Benelli m2 20g & Decky is on a Benelli M2 12g I personally don’t fit/like the Benelli’s, they just don’t sit right for me.
@@Harveyshuntingandfishing yeah a single barrel folding Ranger. Used it for a couple seasons and dropped a few with it, pretty hard for the young ones now with having to use steel in them.
@theharvesters4520 same a ranger but. Not helping kids with new rules but don’t think many people are to worried any way.have you ever been fishing in the Twizel canals
Yeah it sucks mate, same cost of license and we only get 5 weekends. It was slow for us up here on our main pond but just ticked over 100 Mallards for the season after getting out there and chasing them.
Better than us in the Manawatu no ducks about. No one out shooting to get ducks moving. We used to have good opening weekends and good nights shoots. Trying to get the pup working retrieving on the water he loves the water though. He has only had few retrieves he is good at finding wounded ducks and he picks up Ducks but the parrys I shot a few weeks ago were a bit heavy for him at first. He is a lab X golden retriever. He has been making good progress.
Mean vid bro, been waiting for this to pop up! Mate I agree, the amount of birds I hit hard with Steel this year that carried on or lost was just crazy. Haven't found any brand yet that was as good as lead used to be!!!!
Yeah I feel shit sometimes man, they just go & suffer somewhere, even at close range they fly off a few hundred meters, steel is shit. We finish off about 4-5 wounded birds from other people every float.
duci il testo con la fotocamera hi guy I was enchanted to see this extremely practical and effective system I've never seen something like this complimeti 😊 please could you sleep how did you build that line reel in detail? I had difficulty connecting the lever to a structure that rotates the drum but fits in the rod holder
Yeah all good mate. The females have to be slightly bigger than the males too take but if we get more than our limit we put the females back and keep the males.
Only a couple of run ins over the years but Naa we are pretty careful aye, if we see stock, hear tractors/bikes we don’t shoot & motor on down the river a few hundred meters.
@theharvesters4520 The driving looks like an awesome way to cover ground, but looking at the new guidelines your guns need to be stowed away if your in any unmoored boat , other than a row boat. For Auckland waikato area.
@@toranarama1 yeah we row for most of it, unload the guns and in the gun slips when boosting away from stock etc, part but need the outboard sitting in neutral ready top boost as there is a lot of snags, fallen trees etc tight spots down there, it’s very sketchy if you don’t know the river.
love this vid, im not a fishing or cray person at all but, youl never experience this if you dont try...its my very first time so, first thing is to buy a pot and adjust it as youve shown us...thank you for the tips, i need them, all of them haha
Please, I need a device like this. Can I know its price or how to manufacture it? Thank you very much. My name is Walid, an air conditioning and refrigeration engineer.
Not trying to be a cock or anything just letting you know before it costs you a tournament or a record. No one but the angler can touch the rod reel or any part of the line apart from the leader once a fish has bit. I see a few times one of you is pushing drag up but a different guy is angling the fish.
