Thanks for posting this. I know it's a year old, but it was helpful in my installation of Mighty Mounts in the same area. I used rivets in my installation. This position puts my rod holders within reach without having to lean forward.

Beautiful day to be out catching jumbos for December. I love those Cabelas Mean Eye blades for walleye but never thought about getting some smaller ones for perch jigging. I normally jig with a Thundermist Lures Stingnose Minnow jig. Over in the Western Basin, I use a 3/16 oz but they have all weights. You may need to downsize the hooks if you get the heavier ones. You're getting me excited about walleye jigging already. Glad you got out to do something you love to do.

@@rhettamus the channel cats are very good to eat! My uncle used to make catfish stew. I always throw the big ones back, the small ones taste much milder IMO.
How do you think the shearwater would fish in lakes. I have had a bonafide ss127, nucanoe pursuit and oldtown 120 all with the bow mounted xi3 and loved it. This one sits alot lower but i love the look, sesting options and deck size

Another guy asked me the same question: he now has a motorguide and loves it. I'm no spokesman for them, but I will say it's a game changer for fishing. It's a heavy setup with a 100ah lithium battery, but worth the weight if you want virtually unlimited traveling capabilities and spot lock/gps anchoring.
