She was on the Breakfast Club and they asked her about the beef she said Jay told her I’m never gonna respond cause I know he’s not in his right mind due to X using drugs but she said there is a reason X was throwing shots at Jay and she told them they would have to read her book iv searched online for a PDF or a leak no luck not really interested in buying the book I’ve got EARL the X biography but I don’t really see me buying hers unless Apple Books has a sale
Rule can spit his ass off you thinking the radio commercial records go back and listen he got bars but public perception got people believing dude never had success he played for radio and that’s fine he had to get from under Jay and X shadow so he did the radio friendly records to sustain a career people call him a clown but Drake made hella radio friendly stuff then started spitting with a southern cadence like he from ATL hip hop full of chameleons but can’t say dude can’t rap
Thx for your outstanding content, love it….I was 16 when this masterpiece dropped, it’s sad to see in what place hip hop is right now, quality wise. Much love from Germany 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Absolutely appreciate this comment I was 3 months short of turning 15 this was a great time in hip hop for sure and then Big and PAC’s deaths cast a black cloud much love from Stl to Germany 🙏🏾
R Kelly is literally the only artist people just don't even speak about. We've had artist that killed and raped and robbed, and they still get spins.... The whole industry knew what R Kelly was doing but waited until he we was pretty much done making music to cancel him..🤔
What a time to be alive. We’ll never see anything like these 2 classic back to back double albums like all eyez on me and life after death. 2 classics from the 2 biggest labels at the time. Both teams went all in on both. If you weren’t alive during that time you can’t understand the impact they made. I had both albums on cassette tape. I grew up in cali but when LAD dropped it was undeniable that the album was great from production to BIG’s raps to the features. I remember going to a Brooklyn club 10 years ago, I was in my late 20’s, and the DJ Played kick in the door. I hadn’t listened to that song in years but being in NY Brooklyn club at that the song hit so different talk about a vibe that night I’ll never forget. Anytime I go to NY or just even have a layover in NY gotta listen to LAD lol

MARCH 25 2023 ON THIS IN HIP HOP HISTORY MARCH 25 1997 26 YEARS AGO THE Notorious B.I.G. RELEASED LIFE AFTER DEATH ALBUM THE FACT IT WAS 26 YEARS LATER AND STILL A CLASSIC ALBUM OF ALL TIME
This is my number one album from biggie I just love this album my dad had this on cassette tape when I was a little kid so everyday struggle is my favorite record of all time I like the full album to skip tracks I don't like no friend of mine and juicy
P.S. - SKYZOO IS INCREDIBLE ALSO. HE HAD A SONG WITH ROYCE THE 5'9" - I THINK ITS CALLED MOVING OUT - THAT IS AMAZING!!! You truly know hip hop. Good one, my guy
Great review. And if you're talking about what I'm THINKING about (Lil' Kim crying...with Mary J.), she was coming out the FUNERAL in Brooklyn crying...not the hospital. She was not with them in LA. She was still in BK that day....if I'm correct.
they way they did in the movie using skys the limit instead of 10 crack commandments sucks for Preemo but it makes sense why they would do that, it makes for a more emotional & cinematic scene yk
Easy Mo Bee also did a bunch of work for Big Daddy Kane. Hes one of my favorites. It's funny cause Respect on Ready To Die uses a reggae loop that Mo Be actually used for a beat for Kane in 89. Of course Big paid a lot of homage to Kane but that's one of the songs Mo Bee actually didnt do on Ready To Die.
really appreciate these videos bro I watched ready to die, AEOM, I'm watchin this now & I saw that reasonable doubt imma check too I dont play games but I still subbed cause these are fire
Ja Rule is not at all a better rapper than 50 Cent lmao what. especially not "bar for bar". people sleep on 50 cause his style is smooth but I dont think it's even a reasonable thing to say Ja is a better songwriter than 50, not unless you're specifically talking about radio records & even then all Jas best radio records had the assistance of a pop or r&b singer. Ja never said no shit that landed as heavy as the shit 50 was sayin. neither of em are the most versatile but Ja had literally 2 song styles, & I dont believe the majority of his work was really self expression. when Tupac was on all his gangsta shit the details weren't always the most accurate but the expression was & we know that because regardless how he came up in the last few years of his life he did some real shit & took the real life repercussions. Ja doesn't appear any different than the rest of the made in a lab shit. I'm just choppin it up not tryna talk ya ear off but that was the first shit I heard you say that I couldnt agree with lol it's all good but we on complete opposite sides of this one
they actually were supposed to all he the same concept or theme. Big said he was gonna do 5 albums & Born Again was actually I title he already had but we dont know what the other 2 would've been
It is to a certain degree but when you compare it to something like good kid maad city it isn’t on the same plateau but it’s timeless art no matter wjat
idk why people dont talk about Respect, that's actually one of my favorites that beat is bangin. "my moms is late, so I had to plan my escape" like what? lol. who dont care what their birthday is wtf
nah when 50 dissed Ja for singin that wasnt his main diss that was just an add on. like you're a fake ass mf, you make corny soft records, & you dont wanna run into me. if Ja just made radio records n none of the rest of that shit happened 50 wouldn't have said nothin to em
Can’t fight the Feds history let us know 50 was gonna slow down musically he’s found new life with Starz but their rune are about even when Murder Inc was on top it was a run verzus showed us that
