We had to beat the earlier bosses to get access to tek. Not really any point to doing primitive if doing boss runs, but it makes the rest of survival harder.
@@ianeeland I just meant to say its the same either way, primitive doesn't make a difference. Primitive is just better for making things harder. I don't remember how we got tek gear since it was a long time ago.
The fight against the Mantacore was on Primitive, the rest were not. We switched afterward to start a new series that didn't go anywhere. We started a new Crystal Isles series and are about to go into Genesis. We also were on XBox and are now on PC.
On your drill rig, just a thought for more depth and a wider area. Instead of using armor blocks to build the vertical scaffolding, you could replace it with an inverted piston or two and extend them for added height. Next, you could insert an advanced rotor between your last down facing piston and your drilling/conveyor setup. Then once you are under your vehicle frame for depth, you can slowly spin the rotor so your drills create a circle. Probably better to remove some flooring on each side, but it should still work.
Also, you both might want to learn the Build Planner shortcuts that are in the game now. It is like the old Easy Inventory mod but part of the core game now. You can select an item, like an assembler, hold it over an inventory port and click your middle mouse button and it pulls everything you need for the build :P For something placed and not built, you can right click the thing and it will add the components to the build planner for you and you middle mouse click to pull out items as well. There are more commands and new buttons inside your inventory view to help as well.
I'm not sure why it's disabled on other vids...but thank you for the advice. Space engineers is like 2 weeks ahead of the rest so you won't see changes for that long. I really do appreciate all of the advice. I'll make notes; Build planner and scaffolding. -WeissWolff
You have comments disabled on the other episodes, so I'll just comment here on your scout. You don't really need the down thruster with gravity and you might want to put on an ore detector for a scout :P
