A German clan Ive played with built bigger. With far more turrets. That was before electrical came out though. Massive open core like that. All high qual. Double metal china wall bigger than that. Like a dozen outer stone walls. Wall off about 1/8 of the map and either sulphur or high qual quarry depending on the mood. Walled off so much of the map we never had to leave it to farm. People would spawn in our territory, farm, build a base... All before realizing they were walled and turreted in. Would build massive shops with turrets on peacekeeper with land and water entrances and sell AKs and LRs and everything super cheap because it was the only way ro keep server pop up with such a masive zerg on the server. About 125-150 turrets. Biggest Ive ever seen by far.
base looks cool but would fold pretty fast under a raid, the only proper way to defend loot on a server like this where everyone can get near infinite boom is to make a 6 tc base, basically a giant circle in the middle at 10K structures with another 5 bases surrounding it, also at 10K structures, from there hide boxes randomly throughout them along with tc's hidden the same way somewhere. 99% of the time on servers above 50x there will be some sort of base teleport command so you wont need doors. most of the time its around half a box to a box of c4, while all loot rooms can take around 4-5 boxes of c4 depending on if their guess is right. turrets and sam sites are nice, but realistically they will only stall for 30 minutes to an hour, while the actual base can take 8-20 hours to fully raid with a group of around 5 people.
Rushing in stacks like that created an enfilade fire situation which should be avoided. In the opening of a raid, the losses could be critical and risk throwing your efforts lopsided. An M2, or multiple LMG straight upon that column places you directly in that enfilade situation you want to almost always avoid; but especially at the beginning of any adult. 🫡
Here’s a thought , try giving at least a day or max three days grace period so the player has a chance to build things like this. The moment you spawn inn you get mauled, shot and teamed up right away. I know survival is part of the game but it’s still only a game and tbh it sux at times. Don’t try making it as real as life cause life sux sometimes too so 1-3 days protection , depending on month or weekly server, do ppl can build and the rest can have more fun breaking into way more bases. Win win for all of us. Plus I bet diplomacy could work better when u get to know your neighbors ❤!
