Mick and Trudie create quality films and spend a lot of time enjoying Turkey. Mick is often called Mick Amca (which sounds like Amja) meaning Uncle Mick in Turkish. Mick also speaks fluent Turkish (a bit unusual for an English guy) while Trudie is still getting to grips with it :).
The channel was started originally to give people an insight in to the beautiful places to explore and visit in Turkey.
They plan to travel around the world, making quality films to share with you, exploring different cultures and experiences, proving that as a mature couple it’s never too early or too late to experience travel and hope to inspire all ages to get out and explore.
Mick produced a few ''clean up your rubbish'' videos in Turkish to try and help educate the problem. The film was featured on Turkish TV and shown around schools in Turkey.
To follow their journey please SUBSCRIBE to their RU-vid Channel, hit the bell and they will do the rest!
You would hope that that sea bass is wild-caught, and well it may be. But (unfortunately) Turkey apparently carries out a lot of sea-pen intensive farming, rather like the equally incomprehensible seaboard nations Canada and Scitland. Sea bass included. Perhaps the farmed bass is mostly exported.
Tesekkurler sizlere......Yine cok guzel harika bir Video cekmissiniz Cok cok beyendim Simdide Rize videosunu bekliyoruz......Danimarkadan selamlar Mick Amca......
Your videos are really relaxing, I would like to see you in Sinop, the pearl of the Black Sea. It is also the northernmost region of Turkey. There are many historical and beautiful areas. It is also very beautiful in this season. Stay well ❤
My family is from the district where Uzungöl is located. It really saddens me how it has been transformed over the past 20 years, especially knowing I had a hand in it by uploading photographs and writing Wikipedia articles about it some 15 years ago. Even though there was already some environmental damage due to tourism back then, I hoped to spark interest in eco-tourism opportunities in the valley. Instead it turned into a circus. In the last few years this subversive and abject form of capitalism has even invaded some of the yaylas in the district (especially around the lakes high up in the mountains). Well, at least the attention our district gets leaves other valleys of the eastern black sea region mostly untouched by international tourism. To somehow make up for my mistake I have singlehandedly mapped the entire district on OpenStreetMap, to ensure that further environmental degradation and illegal construction may be easily identified. The Turkish land registry had started a similar 'pilot project' in Trabzon province, but they were too slow for my liking and their data is commercialized and can not be republished without consent of the Turkish state.
Hi mick and Trudie thank you both for showing us many places in turkey I agree about places becoming very touristy especially beautiful rural places but also holiday resorts have lost their appeal it almost feels like British tourism has taken over and the Turkish people have try to accommodate British culture but it takes the eastern promise away we need real culture at least I do
Thank you for the beautiful video about Trabzon and surroundings, which involved a lot of hard work. I also congratulate her Turkish accent, it sounds very nice. Thank you also for learning our beautiful language. And thank you also for showing the sights of our beautiful country. I think most of my compatriots are like me. Unfortunately we don't have the opportunity to see our beautiful country. It depends for many reasons. First of all, for health, financial and time reasons. Everything has to fit. And so thank you very much for the wonderful video!
Welcome to my city. The images and explanations are so beautiful that I loved it.❤I agree with most of what you said. There is no need for those structures and playgrounds in nature. I am very sad about this situation.😢
You are both a sweet heart perfect. I just landed from İstanbul. I was terrified by the prices. I felt sorry for my lovely Turkish people. Prices in İstanbul is really crazy. Thank you for the lovely gift. You are both loved by my . Thank you 🙏.
Merhaba Mick ve Trudy, Sorry to read that Mick was ill. We are long time viewers and love your videos. My wife and I were in Kaş and Istanbul for a few months this summer. We had a wonderful time. Next summer we plan on going to Trabzon and Samsun. Although we occasionally rent a car to get out of the city, it would be great if you would include a few words about public transport. Teşekkür ederim!
