My headcanon is that these 5 people threatened to beat each other to death over this solo, and this unison happened as a form of mediation

I played this piece on the bass clarinet in junior high during a Christmas concert and I have NEVER been more nervous in my life. I was only a second chair and not that good.

I actually prefer the clarinet solo played with more members actually. Sounds really good.

Thank you Michael. All 3 are great. I personally I prefer the last 2. The Signature has raised tone holes. And as we know you have to try different reeds Enjoy your videos. God bless you and yours. Bill. UK. PS love you bass clarinet books! 🎶

In my opinion that "dubba dubba duhhh" part is the best part of the song, sounds so cool!!!

I played the bass clarinet in high school and my mom made me practice outside!! I was only about 4' 9" tall at that time (1976) so I always had to stand to play it!! I loved it!! He plays it much better than I did though!!

That bass clarinet looks crazy! Do you have to use silver polish or something to keep the color on the keys the same or does it just stay like that? Awesome sound! Very jealous :D

In fifth grade my band director let me switch to bass clarinet and now I’m about to be 14 and I’ve never gone back. Im currently in marching band at my school and we’re about to go into concert season, but I will say that our parts are so much fun to play. Occasionally i’ll get that one song that just absolutely kills me bc of all the moving notes, but it is such a beautiful instrument and I encourage anyone who would like to to make the switch!

As a brass player, I've been obsessed with woodwinds lately I'm on clarinets right now and I just love how full and robust thr Bass Clarinet sounds, especially the low notes!

Hey, I play the clarinet and I don’t use neck straps but that doesn’t mean that’s someone else can’t . He’s doing what’s best for his performance so don’t hate on him!✌🏽

For some the neckstrap allows for them to not use the thumb hook and have an easier time with pinky keys. It is all up to preference.

i can’t bend my thumb after playing without a neck strap for more than fifteen minutes. it helps

Can be easier if you have joint issues, and if your a saxophone player it’s easier to get used to. Quite insensitive.
