Hi! I have an ecotank ET-4850 printer, and from the onset, when I fill my ink using the Epson Ink colours they never show how much I have filled from the front of each tank. They never take enough ink and I have to constantly try and fill them, when I get a notification that the ink levels are dangerously low etc When they do start to fill I hear a guzzle and then it stops, I then take it out and place it back in and then I repeat the same thing and then do the same with the other colours. I am still on my first bottle of colours from when I purchased the printer over a year ago and each bottle are still 1/2 full. Your help as to what I should do, would be greatly appreciated.
I bought the cleaning kit and have followed the instructions, but I cannot force any fluid into the printer head nozzles. Does that mean they're seriously clogged? Is there a way to unclog in this state? Thanks!
At the moment I own a CANON PIXMA MG 3620. The main reason for getting this product was to make borderless photos. It did well at first but later on, the pics began to streak. I followed the manual on how to fix this but wasn't working. So, I went to Walmart to purchase 3rd party ink cartridges and that made the prints look purplish. I'm going to purchase the CANON cartridges and see if it works. If not I'm going to get the HP Envy. I should have read the comments before buying the CANON, most of them were negative, not so with the HP.
Hello. This weekend I attempted to clean the printer head on my XP-442. The process went well: The product performed exactly as the video shows and I was able to shift a lot of ink out of the heads. However, now when I turn on my printer I get this error message: "The printer's ink pad is at the end of its service life. Please contact Epson support". Do you have any suggestions on what I should attempt now?
I’m a engineer and worked with all the brands. When is about small (A4/Letter format) I can confirm HP is a reliable one but also expensive to use. There are a lot of things considering when buying such a device like how much the consumables costs? What is the cost per page? There are any “compatible” consumables? There are 2 main things you change a lot: toner and drum and also the rubber rollers are wearing out and they are not cheap to replace. Brother has simple reliable equipments I recommend. Canon is not a great what and is sharing parts with others has no tradition in xerography, you should avoid Xerox and Lexmark, very expensive to run and not so reliable the new ones, Kyocera is a leader in this market but more for more expensive ones.
I would have never of figured it out. I had no clue the orange part came out and I really didn't know the orange part would stay out of the printer. Thank you I had it done i a minute after watching your video.
Why is it necessary to wait 24-48 hours?. After I printed the ink report and all looked good, I printed normally. Printer refused nozzle check, or clean head, then the printer print turned to blocks of ink, with an error message that the printer was shut off incorrectly. Restart and power cycling did not help. Then the display blanked out. Printer died.
I was gifted this after a breakdown lol, my cyan is nor pritning faded with lines. My concern is that there was nothing on my tissue after injecting the yellow and cyan tubes. DO you know why this is, ill do it again and wait another 24 hours
I just used a cleaning solution to do this! I have an Epson ET-2800. Do I still need to do a print head cleaning on the printer after? Only my yellow is coming out now 🥴 before using the solution, all the colors were working but the nozzle check wasn’t good!
In my personal experience the big difference is in the type and quality of the ink. I have two Canon Pixma MegaTank G4000 series and the big problem is that Canon decided to use their “natural pigment” ink that has large particles and clogs the printer unless you waste-print at least 4-5 pages per day to unclogs I came up with two test pages (text black, text color), and a few colorful images to print as tests / unclogging every day The other problem is that from time to time the printer needs to go to regular maintenance to empty the cleaning bucket / sponge. Why Canon didn’t use their “artificial pigment” based inks, that they already use for their Pixma Pro entry level model… I don’t get it, that artificial pigment ink lasts half (50 years vs 100 years of the natural pigment ink) but has a lot smaller particles and never clogs the printer
Hi again, finally updating you on a separate comment per your request. I left wet (water) paper towels in the printer overnight as you suggested. It didn't loosen the black print head that I was struggling with, but I noticed a lot of blue ink on the paper towels in the morning. So I successfully flushed the blue, magenta, and yellow print heads. By the time I tackled black again, it had had a little soak time from the cleaning solution. I was able to push the syringe through and clean the black. It splattered all over me and the wall in the process, but it finally cleared. Unfortunately when I turned on the printer again I heard a pop and smelled a burning smell, and the display had an error message. My husband said it's time to just replace it😬
its been months since this video posted; i have just ordered the cleaning solution and will be trying it in the next few days. My 1500 has Eco Solvent ink, so im considering it a Giant Paper Weight at this point. I really am hoping this will help however i will understand if it doenst since this ink type is not for this printer. Still any pointers would be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU in advance for any additional pointers for this type of ink and also for your detailed video 😃
Phew - it worked! After our printer (well my wife's printer) that she had sitting in storage for 3 years while we went off to Texas, she says to me after returning to Canada, "here, have my good ET-4750"! I tried printing - but only blank pages came out! Not even a drop of black ink. So I found this video. Made sense. Ordered right away from Amazon, and the next day had the solution. But I don't remember hearing in the video (I could be wrong) that warming the solution could help. One of the nozzle head was totally dried up and so I push very hot water and it unblocked it. Then like the instructions said on the box, I needed to wait 24 hours before re-plugging the printer and doing all the maintenance test multiple times. It's now printing - saving at least $600 for another compatible Epson! Thank you very much!
Hello, I used the method in the video, but after the injection, my color could not be printed. I injected black. What is the reason? Looking forward to your reply
What a JACKED UP printer. This thing constantly has to cycle, Hickup, and fart. What a F'n annoying printer. You just can't print one sheet without it doing some type of cycliing noise, that goes on for a good 5 minutes. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER.
I have one where the black, on the left, will not print. And I can't get cleaner to go through. The colors work fine, as does the other black. It will print a black outline and text. But not a black filled box.
Thanks for your easy to follow instructions. I was lucky that it only took one cleaning to unclog my printheads. The only hard part was inserting the paper towel under the print head. But everything else was so easy to do.
I followed the instructions in the video. Some of the pink and blue (yellow was always fine) came back on the nozzle check but still very faint. Do I need to keep running through the cleaning and deep cleaning cycles? Is it an issue of pushing the ink back into the cartridge?
