Moses Ngwenya and David Masondo have been in this business for over forty years. Having recorded over 38 timeless albums since their inception in 1974, Soul Brothers remain the oldest and active African traditional music group in South Africa. Soul Brothers have survived this long in this tough industry because they have a passion for the genre.
This is Mbaqanga music whose tracks vary from mid-tempo to full melodic sounds punctuated with a lot of rhythm and soul. The combination of Masondo’s quavering soprano voice and Ngwenya’s percussive keyboard playing gave the Soul Brothers a unique and instantly recognizable sound.
