Where anything life changing is possible. Gardening, raising chickens and livestock, foraging, cooking from scratch, preserving, becoming self reliant. And most importantly improving our quality of life ❤️
@@kimmarx1069 Hi there. It is best to use dried plant materials to avoid any chance of mold. My Recipe is: 1 cup tallow, 1/4 cup crushed Rose Hips, 1/4 cup lavender 😊
Thank you for the video. I never tried pressure canning but gathering information to get started. I have seen others fill the glass with water. Is that not necessary? Where is you pressure canner from? Thank your :-)
@@cleverdogs_charlottenlund Thank you so much for watching 🤗 No you do not have to add water. I purchased my Presto canner online from Walmart about 7 years ago. You can get them all over not just Walmart 💖
Hi, nice to find you. that's a nice harvest. i love butternut squash, I don't have any this year, they got frosted on June 10th and the plants didn't come back

@@vanessafraser7629 As long as your lid has sealed you should be just fine. Every once in a while it happens to me. I make a habit of checking all my jars periodically 😊
Good morning Debbie I am so amazed of all the things you share with me. You are so wise and talented. I think there are blk walnut around my house. I will check it out.
@@clairequinn8665 I think I’m going to save seed from my Chamomile too but I have a feeling that they are going to propagate like crazy in the spring 😂
You have a very good memory! I had forgotten that was on my birthday! My grandson has discovered the ground cherries also and he loves them. I saved several recipes to use them in, but never have enough because we are eating them fresh...lol
A good acorn squash will have green skin with maybe a small orange patch. As it ripens, the skin turns orange so avoid buying ones that are more orange than green.
@@clairequinn8665 I’m going to be direct sowing : Garlic, carrots, beets, radishes, lettuce, rutabaga and peas. My seedlings that I started in the house are: 3 types of cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kohlrabi, onions and pak choy 🤗
Your garden is still going strong! Mine is slowly waining away. It didn't help that we were so sick for a few weeks and evacuated for a week. I haven't ever been able to grow broccolli past April they bolt so quick then and get aphids. I think you have a lot more sun. You can harvest leaves off the lemon grass anytime and sometimes I take a shoot off all the way to the ground. Nice video!
@@fernetworek9030 I think starting tomorrow I’m going to be pulling out some squash and cucumber plants. Making way for fall planting 💖 I’m so sorry for all the absences from your garden but at least u have your health and home 🙏🙏🙏 I do have all my cool weather crops in NE corner of my garden that is partly shaded so maybe that’s why the broccoli didn’t bolt?!? Thank you so much 😊
@sheenasalesthriftytreasures. I’m sorry i accidentally deleted your comment 😢 Thank you so much. Praying that you get some relief from the heat w some rain. You have a blessed day as well
