We've started playing Pax Dei and so far it looks amazing. It's in Early Access so some issues are to be expected but we've encountered nothing to cause any real concerns.

Btw the game Ive switched to Once Human is a fantastic and very well polished Survival building crafting game but futurastic rather than medival .Still has all the elements but the harvesting crafting is very satisfying just one tap of the action button and it switches to pickaxe and swings till rock /tree is gone .Building has some great inovations .If you want to move you just find your spot click a button and your whole base moves in one go.Amazing .Also if you see a nice looking player built base you can copy the blueprint and build an exact copy lolPax Dei is great and will be back but this one might be worth a look at too .
The best way to improve the quality of villagers you can hire is by improving the trust level. Some of them will only join you at Friend, Protector, or Bellwright. The easiest way to increase trust is with Shrines
Hi, sorry if you already figured this out but, make sure the tools and ammo is turned off in the food storage. Remember they updated the storages with more options to turn off.
Thanks, Ed. Lurking is a great hobby - Unfortunately, I'm working this weekend so I won't be on much, summer is a busy time for me. But I'll stream and post whenever I can. Thanks for your support
I'd build it still. Bread needs only flour and water; they might update the bonuses later. I was just unimpressed with the lack of bonuses but it's early access so everything is subject to change
Nice one ,you're getting quite advanced now ,Í've got all that to look forward to ·,Í thought Í might struggle for motivation , re starting after 250 odd days but Í'm absolutely loving it .Ín my other play thru Í would build harvesting camps but not set them up properly or deliveries so constantly running out of materials .Now Í'm setting everything up properly it's a breeze and have plenty of everything and flying Ða y 11 got 3 villagers ·Í is a vagrant but only cost a couple of hundred renoun and when Í find a better option and kick him Í'll make 1000 profit so theyre actually pretty useful.
The Co-Op play-thru is coming up to the current endgame. I'll probably spend time tweaking some supply chain issues like ingots and food types to prepare it for future expansions. I'm seriously considering starting a new play-thru when the latest updates are available. Luckily Bellwright has amazing replay-ability
<- (Matt) I actually lost count of how high it actually went, but at last count it was over 1250% skill XP boost. I was able to read one book to take Agility from 8 to 10. Thanks for the shoutout Huck!
What size army would you advise for taking and holding Hearndean ?And any there any things you wished you knew before doing it yourself that you can pass on ?Cheers in advamce
Somewhere between 14 and 16 with most of your villagers as melee. Equip them with the best armor and weapons that you can. Use your best food - Fine meat stew, large and regular smoked meat if possible, and make sure they have spare. Keep your troops on Rushing so that they can move to fight. And save before you start the dialogue and pray to the game gods. Best of luck True and let us know how it goes
@@huckster2020 Nice .I've got 17 [12 melee 5 Archers]but still quite ill equipped so I'll give them all the best gear I have unlocked and go for it ,Still no rush tho Cheers mate
@@huckster2020 Btw have you tried any nexus mods yet ?I only ask because the 1 vid on how to install goes fast and has no commentary and I cant get it .A guide would be ideal .I bet there are loads of rusty boomers like me in the same boat lol .ps Bigger bags would be a game changer for me .I played without weight r on medieval dynasty and takes away a lot f the grind or makes the grind less tedious.3 logs at a time kills me .
@@Dave062YT I was only looking for a mod to increase the number of people who could join the Co-Op> I'm no expert with Nexus, far from it. I normally use Steam Workshop
Levi says it's a tier 3 resource built in the Weaver. We have a small but growing community so if you have more questions you're welcome to join us Discord
Good to see it's going well mate .I've got my village running a lot better now myself.I wasted a lot of time but put things right now .Your videos always help too .Cheers . Ps I love building early game but tier 2 is just a ball ache , hopefully the devs will speed it up a lot soon
Btw I had a look at the nexus mods but it's too long since I used mods and couldnt work it out .If you work it out yourself could you make a video on it pl mate ?Help us thickos out lol
I haven't used Nexus in a couple of years as I normally use Steam Workshop when it's available. I only wanted to see if I could increase the Co-Op cap from 4 to 8. But if I can work it out I'll certainly help
@@huckster2020 Yeah cheers .There is one vid on it but theres no voice over and its very quick I couldn't quite get it ,Some nice mods tho ,larger bags and quivers are all I;d go for to start I think,If they made a mod to teleport your army and not just you, that would be a game changer,
@@huckster2020 Btw I worked out why I was killing myself .Sounds crazy now but I would build mining or trappers camps but not set them up at all .think because villagers are automatically assigned I thought they automatically harvested what was needed.Anyway got things running properly now and should start thriving .No rush I've got the mission to research belltower so making progress lol
Nice one .I'm nearly day 150 in my solo game and nowhere near liberalising anything .Maybe I can't delegate but I seem to do everything and it's exhausting lol
My 1st attempt at liberating Haerndean was a complete disaster. It probably was with most of us who play this game. The game is hard which makes it so much of a satisfying challenge
I like the idee of making a closed off box. Its good to train archery and get loads of stuff just by killing patrols. Ill implement this when i have time to play again.
Hello. As far as I know the woodsman are only in Padstow and how can I join them if the village is not free yet. i need research bow tier 2 and he needs woodsman. Is there any other way?
I play a Co-Op game with a bunch of great guys, If you get a chance to watch the stream ask any questions you like. Often times 1 of us has discovered some aspect of the game that will help the others. Unfortunately, I can't answer your question as I believe the Devs are making some significant changes soon that might affect the Tier 2 bow
Think i missed you live again ,my game going slower than I'd hoped .Day 95 and nowhere near ready to liberate anything .I had 12 villagers sacked 2 and got another so 11 and none of them that good .I set up fences in that archery farming spot so may take a couple of my guys to level up there
I think it's better to take your time and be prepared for the Liberation because it can be tough. And training troops can give you a better understanding of squad commands
If u want to avoid in farming to have an overflow of 1 type of farming resources, i would suggest getting 1 farm per item. If u mix like garlic and patato's sometime's ure companions fill the farm with patato's and ull have 0 garlic.
I had the same problem in my solo game with my flax and hemp field. So I manually planted 12 hemp and 13 flax, set both priorities to 5 and it seems to be ok now. The problem was that I had too many flax seeds at the beginning and insufficient hemp. I'm not saying this with absolute certainty, but it feels that if I plant a field that way and have enough seeds for the replant the workers will continue the pattern
Did not finish the entire video yet. But wile i watch u do the cooking. Sometime's i had to craft something in the cooking pot myself for them to use the cooking pot again by themselfs. Maybe its if u manage change or do something that they no longer use the cooking pot. Its a bit weard, but this is what i did as a solution for them not cooking. I make berry jam myself and after i did that they made more berry jam instead of beeing idle.
We found the problem. Someone had set the ingredients barn to an outpost so the workers wouldn't access it. Which highlighted the challenges of Co-Op. We all have our own methods in our solo game that might not always work in Co-Op. Something to consider in future.
can you make a video about the archery farming camp?couldnt quite see where it was.i thought i knew but was wrong ta edit think Ive got it now but a youtube short would be a big hit
It's Matt Baby, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind sharing it with you so I will do a video at some point. In the meantime, the camp is located east of the Peat Patch in my Peat and Moss video next to a rock formation. But it's in a tough location regularly patrolled by Hard hitting Bandits so be careful
Man, I saved up straps to unlock the town hall and unlocked it FAR too early. It takes a LOT of resources and if you are buying a strap a day, it takes NO time to get the 15 for the unlock. So invest those straps in bags and thick armor, you will get many more quick enough.
I did that with my 1st playthrough. By the time I got to the point where I could Liberate the first village, I had more straps than I would ever need. There's no right way to play this game, but there are better ways
I use the Rugged Axe because it will stagger Bandits and Brigands. I'm not sure whether axes are better against shields than swords but I don't think the tier 1 weapons affect Brigands. I equip all the villages the same way to make it easier to get ready for raids. I will try different tier 2 weapons once we unlock them as I like the Sword thrust attack
