As a little nitpick as someone who is playing a Blood Hunter rn, you can target creatures with a Blood Curses without Blood as long as you amplify it's effect, meaning you can go any of the Subclasses and be effective against anyone with different Blood Curses. Plus, Blood Curse of Binding is the GOAT, cause if you have someone who can just shove someone affected with it, they become prone with 0 movement and no reactions. Easiest combo to do with a group to just start making enemies into chunks of meat.
playing a level 8 bard right now. I already have 20 charisma and I use expertise and silver tongue to make it impossible for me to roll anything less than a 20 on a persuasion or deception check. I still have to come up with my lies word for word and tell the dm exactly what my char is gonna say and make them somewhat believable but its still pretty busted
Ahh memories, in a campaign before elden ring has made it a visual possibility i was a minotaur Barbarian with a ship anchor for a weapon with alot of chains around the waist. In comedic fasion, i was for many diplomatic peace negotiations between kingdoms with our pali, cleric druid and mage... I was resting rent free at the staples ( dm's running joke for my guy since my character rarely spoke and didn't think he was at most smart. ) it wasn't until mid campaign that the party got themselves in hot water with a raid that the mage blew the high pitch whistle to call me in... and lets just say i was creative with the anchor as I swung that ludicrous weapon to smash the raiders and rip apart the ships with a chain attachments. The enemies were jaw dropped and our lawful evil mage gave a knowing smirk of the unbelievable carnage i left behind after. Once the bbeg at campaigns end was done, the mage who grew compassion throughout let me go to journey on for myself. Using my talents into voice acting to really sell the parting i gave the brute somber first words. " Thank you " before taking the journey to the meadows where my minotaur wants to spend his days, leaving behind the heavy anchor and chains behind. Dm actually shed tears as well as our mage for actually hearing a voice.
Zheles has been a big part of our world ever since the first campaign and this is the first time they’ve actually gone there so I was so excited to see them interacting with this stuff!
I might just be a 5e normie, but this is all just a bit crunchy, not overly complicated. I also notice most that want to play Pathfinder are long-time DND players that reminisce on older editions. I've already tried learning pathfinder, and most of my fellow players criticized me like minmaxxers do in any game. I do also want to point out, if your melee attacks use strength and the weapon, why do ranged only use the weapon? Are you saying anybody can just pick up a bow and it shoots the same as any other person with a bow? That's absurd and really tells how little people think of accuracy with ranged weapons as a whole. As far as I can tell, pathfinder is for folk that want a more "realistic" (absurdity) fantasy game where rule of cool NEEDS an actual described rule, for anything, as that's when these players complain (because they need a rule to tell them how to do something cool).
This is great! I created a ranger for my first time playing today and this was super helpful going in! Gives me a lot of neat ideas going forward with my characters backstory knowing how he can be built going up 😎
Blood Hunter is the only class that requires you to spend health to do things - and those things are worse than spells. It is a class that is worse than martials AND casters, and being worse than martials is hilarious, because martials suck.
Eh. It's really not as great of a class as you make it out to be, especially at lower levels where losing HP for any reason is a big deal - even one of the Critical Role's players have shown this. It's also very mechanically clunky by 5e design standards, it feels like a Pathfinder class or something.
What most DMs forget is that bags of holding have been made for some time with these boneheads in mind. And all that energy can equal seriously powerful lessons.
"Thematically; Blood Hunters tend to be what happens when a Warlock and a Fighter have a baby... but maybe a Ranger was the **milk-man**." Jesus, you just killed people. x)
This situation seems to be rooted in confusion. Her statement has planted a seed of doubt. Maybe if she leaves it alone and regroups with a solid plan, she won't be barking up the wrong tree.
I love this class. Been playing a Creation Bard/Twilight Cleric 2…as a kenku. 😂 Grabbed the Misty Visions invocation from Eldritch Adept, so he communicates like Sandman from Rise of the Guardians. Survived to lv 11 so far as the only healer in our party, and having a blast creating and animating stuff, and occasionally rolling 30+ on lute performances 😁
Order of Mutant is extremely underrated because the downsides are not difficult to mitigate. For example, going a Dex Mutant, you can get Lucky and you save one charge for if you are forced to make a Wis save and it will turn that Disadvantage into Elven Accuracy super advantage. You can also go Resilient: Wis later as a later tier feat choice.
Hey Alex, I've got a notion to play a Hill Dwarf Draconic Bloodline sorcerer somewhere down the road!! I might even take the Tough feat at level 4 for even more HP because I'll be damned if my character is ever described as being "squishy"!! Thoughts? LMAO
So? How much money does Odd have?😮 Holly cow. The guy was broke a few episodes ago. I remember flora paying for something in the market of the steam city. Did he get a treasure somewhere? Maybe im remembering it wrong.
"Yeah. It did. It was in the sky. It has flown many times in the sky. It doesn't live in the sky but it does live in the sky regularly and so then when it's living in the sky it's only in the sky it did fall from the sky it's no longer in the sky." Is what she said...
It's awesome! Do you know what a lethbraka is? Of the inheritance circle from Christopher Paolini? You almost described the fight of a Lethbraka. If you don't know it, I recommend it to you. It has an ancient language of magic to 😅😮. Let's go to the next episode now 💪💪💪💪
