Star Wars Kid, all grown up. And he’s perfecting a unique form of….forest stick-jitsu. To be combined with….run-fu, to escape after you’ve laid waste to multiple forest banditos with those 3 devastating flicky stick blows from ‘Form 2’. Never formally trained you say? Clearly. But keep reading up on Musashi and continue developing your revolutionary system. Can’t wait to see Form 3, in 2026. And find some Elmers to reattach the cap on your stick. That pointy end is much too dangerous otherwise.
The lefty is fearful of guns, but gawd damn I’d rather that than being knifed to death. If you take our guns lefty, that only leaves us with everything else we are now forced to consider using on your tyrannical ass in selfie defense of course
i quick couple questions, im hoping to get some un treated rattan sent from the phillipines. Can i use a home indoor oven? and will store bought vegetable oil do the trick or is it more specific?
Great video, very instructional. My avatar is my school logo. I've been involved in FMA for 32 years. They're indeed are many different ways to rip the stick. My recommendation is train in multiple techniques.
Add more padding if necessary. With much use you will start to feel the rattan, because the foam wears down after a while, but overall these are quite safe - unless you are thrusting to the eyes, throat, or groin or applying locks, chokes, or holds. In FMA contact training is really important...problem is, live blade contact training (SHOULD BE OBVIOUS NOT TO DO IT), hard wood contact training, even rattan stick contact training can break bones or cause a concussions - and rattan is chosen as a training tool (because is frays after a while vs. shattering and becoming sharp and/or sending splintered shrapnel) not a weapon to use in combat. Hardwood such as iron wood is for that. So this is a reasonably affordable and relatively SAFE training tool one can make and use with out worries unless you are doing something really stupid - again, thrusting to sensitive areas with this tool is DANGEROUS, also practicing locks chokes and holds is also DANGEROUS and can cause serious injury - train responsibly and with respect!
Great video, its very helpful and useful. I've wanted to do this for a long time. Im going to get a hand held propane torch and a wood burning kit for doing patterns.
