THIS IS CRAZY! Literally had anxiety the entire time! Durend is amazing, and its a good thing you had Wayne there for your emotional support. Thanks for documenting this so well. I know it makes it take longer, but we REALLY appreciate it!
Thank you. That one definitely took me longer doing the work and filming and editing. LOL. Next up my story Campagna and why I do this. Should hit this weekend. Stay tuned.
Another great video Todd. You are a beast and super knowledgeable. Mine is still only at 1200 miles but during normal chain maintenance I noticed my rear tire seems really tight when I’m spinning it around. What might be causing this? Everything else seems to be good. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
@@toddkerber It spins around fine with no grinding or anything rubbing; however, in your video, you were able to spin your rear tire very easily once you had everything reconnected. Like you barely touched it and it spun… mine takes a bit more push to rotate as if it’s tight in some way. Does that make any sense?
@@danieljohnson174 I'm assuming you have a new T-Rex. They are a different set up than my older 2007. You are probably okay as long as you don't feel or hear grinding or other unwanted noises. Could also be a parking brake adjustment. Again mine will be different, but I'll link it here for you. Thank you. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PgaYHTe8lGs.html
@@AnthonyCamcam All depends on how it looks, drives, and was maintained. Good price point to get into the game. Obviously the 1400RR engine size would be better. Good luck.
@@AnthonyCamcam There is an 07 in Canada for sale with 1200 miles (I think it’s 2200km since it’s Canadian) for sale for $37k I think. Well cared for, Yoshi exhaust, really cool WWII themed wrap. It’s Romanowski Automotive I think. Very nice machine. Won’t last! There’s also a 22RR for wholesale at like $49k on cycle trader. I’d look at these machines before making a purchase. That 07 is really nice at that price point with the records in hand.
Im from Botswana, a nature and wildlife enthusiast, been on a couple of Safari but this...this is thee finest. I can't afford to go there but thanks to this video managed to get a bit of tour and experience. I know about the Camp but never been and never seen video tours on it. Amazing.
@@blackpassogabscity3335 No I've not been there or even heard of the place. My wife and I might go to a foreign country from the US once a year. We are not normally world travelers. I'll check the place out. Thank you.
Watch this video. I did the 500 mile service for my friend Scott and filmed it. Thank you. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gMQRS6Aj-CE.html
Me and my dad just talked about us both topping out his was in a Camaro Iroc T Top. Mine was on a Ninja 1000. Both at 120. But then we also both talked about when you get older and have kids your view changes. When you have things to loose being stupid just seems reckless.
5:26 😂😂🤣🤣listening to you trying not to laugh was my favorite part. You're the best, bro! Also- using that Royal Purple (because of the tight space) was really difficult- your tips on how to get it in there and being patient are spot on!
Give Durend Burnside Trexcite a call at 470.878.1434. He is the Atlanta, GA Campagna T-Rex dealer. I buy most of my parts from him. The new 2021 + years have 17 teeth front with dampener and 58 teeth rear.
Does the side reverse lever have to be parallel to the floor ? Mine out of reverse in first gear sticks up about an inch and a half . Reverse light goes out but hear clicking above 35 mph
You should not hear knock knock knock going into reverse. If you do, you are ramping a plate in there. Try no throttle, start and stop engine in forward gear, if it won't go into reverse easy feather the clutch slightly.
How do you know you need a cable adjustment ? My 2023 reverse lever is not parallel to the floor in first gear. The reverse light does go out , but a clicking sound is heard going down the road
You should not hear clicking noises from the gearbox going forward. Does it stop if you push the lever forward while driving? I'm getting ready to do a video edit on reverse gear oil change and adjustment. Stay tuned.
T-Rex 2006 1200 comfortable speed 100-120 km/h. After 160 km/h the front starts to rise, drag the front wheels along the road (OEM Shocks). P.S. Yesterday, on a climb, the chain broke at a speed of 110 km/h. Thank God no consequences. Chain D.I.D. 50VM has been installed since 2010😁 The mileage on it is 5300 km (Total mileage 25500 km).
Great video but if you only had and showed how to remove the center speaker pods to get to that middle screw 😅 I'm almost close to 4k miles on my 2023 1400RR might just call a shop tomorrow and ask if they can do it ...fingers crossed 🤞
If you are handy and mechanical, I would do it yourself. Most guys out there are not as careful and detailed as I am. LOL. If you haven't serviced air filter by now, you are ready at 4k. Thank you.
@@sbaby7008 I believe the original stock paper filter is the same for all models. I use a slightly larger K&N filter which needs the air box slightly modified. One other guy said he crambed it in there and it worked.
Hey Todd… another informative video that’s much appreciated by us T-Rex fans. Mine has about 1k miles on it. You said around 3k this should be done? Living in NJ my intake tubes have some pollen in them? Should I just clean the tubes for now or go the full route? Thanks as always man!
I would look up your owner's manual when you should service the air filter. Just do everything at one time. As you can see, it is a pain in the ass. If you drove on dusty roads all the time, maybe sooner. Thank you.
I live in Sarasota, FL. I use to recommend and use SRQ Customs. Ryan is getting older and slowing down. I'm not sure he is still doing all the stuff he used too.
Keep listening to that small voice, Todd!! Great video, as usual. I really appreciate all the details, specs and technical data you provide. I used to ride my CBR 120+"ish" mph reading on the speedo before loosing my edge. Things get really sketchy at those speeds and surface streets are wildly unpredictable. I'd love to get some professional training on a track setting to play around. Do you know of anyone who offers a weekend-course type of thing?
I drove my Suzuki Hayabusa to 182 mph back in the day. Not young and invincible anymore. LOL. I would Google search track days in your area.... Thank you.
@@SocialsAwkward I would love to see a video of professional on a long straight track get to a top speed in the Campagna T-Rex. That would be the best because I will never be able to do that. Thank you.
I hit 250km/h on the speedometer with my 22 t-rex and it was not the top speed because i let off at that speed. I got full exhaust, tune and air intake is modified.
Another great and informative video Todd. Your stereo might be dated but that means nothing in the stereo world. Still used great components and the install means everything. I just started doing my 2022RR. I would never knock anyone else’s taste/setup but I am unsure how I feel about the pods at the moment. They serve a purpose by being behind your head especially at high speeds, but you have to crank it to hear it regardless… let’s be honest. The outer pods close in a part of the machine a bit too and decrease the airflow. This creates the wind being redirected back to your ears at high speeds on highways. May be a reason they hurt a bit more after long rides. And I just feel they look a bit like dog ears from certain angles. But I still may go that direction, but maybe just the center pod. Or I’ll probably buy the complete set from Wayne and decide later if I’ll install or not… I currently just decided to keep my OEM look at the moment and did full Bluetooth with (4) 6.5s (2 on each side) in the sides of the footwell, down firing 10” sub, amps, and separate bass/highs knobs hidden under the dash but accessible to me. You always lose sound quality when you eliminate the head unit but he added some digital EQ thing that made this thing crazy loud! I planned on keeping this as close to stock as possible aside from exhaust, but I can never stop myself I guess! I’m sure I’ll be calling Durend for more and more… cha-ching! I follow the Facebook group but can’t post due to my career. Social media off limits for us.
I got the raw mold from my friend Scott Johnson who got two from somebody else. I re-finished mine to black. I would contact Durend Burnside Trexcite 470.878.1434. He is the Campagna T-Rex dealer Atlanta, GA. I buy most of my stock and aftermarket parts and accessories from him.
Thanks Todd! Ive been looking forward to this one. Having an inexpensive option is nice for theft, loss, or rough treatment- good call. I settled on the CARDO PACKTALK EDGEPHONES FOR ORV. Spendy, but they are super fun! You can get like 16 people connected if everyone in your terror has them, and everyone can connect to their own phone. As luck would have it, headsets are totally legal in my state.
Hi Randy. I've never thought about a video edit on cleaning. LOL. I might have to do that. Most important thing is to not use heavy water on the T-Rex. Most times I only use a damp rag and a dry towel. WD-40 is a great product to spray and wipe to keep things shiny and lubricated with layer of protection. Thank you.
Still a great video Todd. The smaller drones can definitely be sensitive and throw things off a bit when they crash. could be an issue with the gimble motor... I know you'll get it situated
Thank you Sino. I'm going to try to fix mine and also buy Elliott's Mini 3 pro. Randy had the same one showing you in Daytona 7-11 parking lot. Hope to see you around.
Hey Todd… I have a 2022 and bought it with 550 miles. It’s at 900 now and chain seems a bit loose. I watched your other video on your machine where you have to adjust both sides to tighten the chain, but another guy with a 2021 says it’s only the drivers side that adjusts the chain and the passenger side adjusts the steering. Is this true? Should I just be adjusting the drivers side for my chain or do both sides evenly each time I adjust? Any help would be so appreciated. Thanks
Hi Daniel. Adjust both sides always and make sure the axle is the same in both slots on the swing arm. You can also look down the chain and make sure straight. I've heard this about steering wheel straightness and I disagree with that because you adjust that up front. Check out my alignment video for that. Thank you.
Same here!! I absolutely lost my mind when Alan Walker went on stage. I’m such a huge fan of him. Now I’m just waiting for the actual footage to come out which might probably take like 2 or 3 more weeks 😭 if anyone knows when the footage comes out pls let me know
Always adjust toe last. All other adjustments effect toe so that is why it is done last so you do it once. Toe is adjusted by loosening the nuts on the ends of the sleeve and using a wrench on the flat areas of the sleeve.(3/4") Rotating the sleeve one way will extend the shaft and turning it the other way will retract.
Hi Tom. The guy I work with does it like I do, but when you adjust camber after toe you must turn the ball rod ends exactly the same or you are correct that it will mess up the toe. Thank you.
