Is a little bit of noise acceptable when rotating the camshaft? It sounds freely but makes some noise.

I am 56 & purchased a white Sprint Turbo when in college back in the late 80's. Amazing getting 50mpg back when gas was $1 a gallon. Most fun little car ever.

That's awesome! There's a Metro Convertible I still see occasionally on the road near me. Same color as yours. Love the dedication to keeping an old car, especially a "weird" one on the road!

Still have my 92 metro in my garage. It's been in there for 25 years. Bought a 91 a couple of years back for parts. One will back on the road soon.

It's really not uncommon on the 3.5. They're great engines when you take care of them.
@andrewdalvet6871
@andrewdalvet6871 3 месяца назад
@Billybigrigger-ic7jp I'm just saying the 3.5 could last quite a long time with a water pump replacement roughly every 150k and early oil changes and nothing else. They're great engines. Some have inherent flaws that can't be fixed without creating other flaws.

You can find vacuum leaks with shaving cream. Grab you some foaming cream and spray it around all your fittings/ suspect leak areas and wherever your leak is will suck the shaving cream In. Then you can fix it and good to go
