Merci beaucoup ! Tellement frustrant de ne pas pouvoir simplement obtenir une brosse qui faisait un truc aussi basique que réagir à la pression. Merci merci.
I don't understand. My tool options for the fill tool are only "fill with", "scale" and "what to fill". Besides, whenever I use the fill tool (with erase or with the pen) it paints all the canvas (not only the colour I am pointing) ...
Great video. I´m using Krita for storyboarding at the moment and I optimized my workspace and shortcuts a lot. Krita is great for many things, others are getting better. Switched completely from photoshop. There is no configurable shortcut for flipping a selection horizontally at the moment. In order to save some time and not having to travel a lot I´ll add and recomend, with the transform tool selected, right clicking with a mouse or clicking on a pen, always inside of the canvas, to display "Transform tools actions" and select mirror horizontal from there. It´s a lot faster. Using advanced transform tools and distort brushes also let you create more complex poses. The transform tool is very powerfull
This is a MUST WATCH video for anyone creating comic drawings and storylines! Brilliant and insanely easy to master technique. Even though I am not into cartoon style art - nevertheless I managed to create a stick-figure with a circle head (facial expressions truly need to be 'the-more-the-better'), and then easily transform it into a whole range of expressive poses, all suggesting completely different attitudes. Massive fun. Much thanks for sharing this MAGIC. You are awesome! 🤟🙂
hello! krita 5.2.5 has come out :) and I saw how you were able to select and move the selection, but for me I have a problem it just seems to only select and move the background with it too can you please help me?
Thanks for updating me on 5.2.5. I came back from a long trip and I saw the release announcement in krita-artists.org/. I am definitely going to update. Thanks again. As for your problem... I hope I understand what is going on. May I ask? Did you create your design on one layer only? if yes, you can select whatever you need using the LASSO TOOL and then hit the TRANSFORM TOOL. It will only move what you selected. When you are done. Click APPLY or ENTER on your keyboard to validate your move, then, undo your LASSO selection with CTRL SHIFT A. If I didn't picture your problem right, let me know and let's try to figure this out together again. I wish, the comment area allowed for screenshot. It will make my life easier. LOL. Cheers. 💕🤪
In less than two minutes you solved all the problems and answered all the questions that I had when I first clicked on the video and in the other 15 you did the same for questions and problems I didn't even know I had/ could have XD Thank you!
Hello. Now you can use the ARRANGE docker. Watch this video. KRITA 5.1.3 VECTORS - HOW TO USE THE ARRANGE DOCKER (HELPING YOU TO UNDERSTAND ALL THE BUTTONS!) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ivj5nyKZYL8.html
These text tutorials are excellent!! I literally play and pause the video on split screen while trying out your method on Krita. Easy to understand and works perfectly. Much thanks for the video (and also it is super nice of you to credit and show the names of the photo creators.)
Hello. So nice to hear that you are enjoying the tutorials. Thanks for you kind comment. Also, YES!!! It is so important to give credit to the owner of the art. They deserve all the help and praise they can get. Have a great and wonderful day!💕
Please advise: I need to create a square with borders in a specific brush/style, and be able to move and resize it afterward. When I create it on a vector layer, the border stays the same, and selecting a different brush doesn’t apply any changes. If I create the square on a paint layer, I can’t resize or move it independently (only the entire layer moves). I’m stuck and would appreciate your help.
Hello. When you create a square on a paint layer, to move it, first select it with a selection tool, and then use the move tool to move it. It will move only what you selected, not the entire canvas. When done, unselect your selection with CTRL SHIFT A. If you want to resize it, select it with a selection tool, and hit CTRL T to activate the transform tool. Now you can resize the square. When done, click apply or hit enter to validate your changes. Then, as earlier, unselect your selection with CTRL SHIFT A. I hope this helps. If not, let me know. Good luck.
Hello! This is an older video from about two years ago. At that time, I was likely using Krita 4.4.8, though I'm not entirely certain. Apologies for any confusion. In the video, I clicked on a panel to activate it and then pressed "M" to mirror the image. Back then, the mirroring effect was only applied to the panel you clicked on. However, in the updated version 5.2.3, I've noticed that pressing "M" mirrors the image in all panels. It seems they updated this feature intending to make it more helpful. That’s my best guess. I hope this helps. Unfortunately, like you... I am at the mercy of all their updates. Sometimes, it can get frustrating... Sometimes, I find nice surprises... Have a great day. 😊
When I try to open two views/windows simultaneously, latter one pops open as detached window & dissappears instantly. Ctrl+tab allows it to appear as detached window again, but the moment I touch former window, latter detached window dissappears! Help! (When I change 'subwindows' to 'tabs' from same settings option, both windows appear as tabs side by side, only one as working area on front. Whats could be wrong, how to correct it?)
Hello. Sorry for this late reply. I am trying to catch up with many of my comments. I have a few questions, and then, following your reply, I will do my best to help you. Question 1: What operating system do you use? Question 2: What version of Krita do you use? Question 3: Are you using only one monitor, or are you working on multiple monitors? Thanks. Until your reply, have a great day. Don't worry... hopefully we can figure this out together. 😊👍🏼
Hello. I guess, all French people have the same accent. I know David's work. He is extremely talented. Thank you for watching and I hope my humble channel can help you in your digital journey. Have a great day and happy creating!
Merci! You also can use a "multiply" layer and adding a layer style bevel on it to get the same result. Vous pouvez également utiliser un calque "multiplier" et y ajouter un style de calque biseautage pour obtenir le même résultat.
Nice. Is there any reason you don't use fill tool to speed up the coloring even more, and then retouch the areas that weren't filled? I think that for the beak or the eyes it would be better than just paint with brush.
Hello. Thank you for your comment. I have used the paint bucket in other videos, but for this one, I chose a different technique. I like to show people various ways to paint. Some viewers mentioned that they enjoy using the brush because it gives them a coloring book feel, which they find relaxing. So, yes, you're right-the paint bucket does make things faster. Have a great weekend, and thank you again for your comment.
