I believed the promo pics for the Super7 as you did 😂 Then when the renderings/announcement was made for an Ultimate from Mattel, I immediately cancelled my pre-order…..Thanks for doing videos like this so people won’t make the mist of spending so much on garbage lol.
Man I feel bad for Super7. I was very happy with the renders and when I saw the actual product I was so confused I had to Google to make sure that was the same figure I saw renders for. It is honestly a huge fail.
I picked up Scarecrow. There was 1 left. I used to collect the DC Collectibles BTAS line and I missed this version of the Scarecrow. He goes for a lot on the secondary market now. This is just a repackage and slight repaint of that one? Or are these smaller than the DC Collectibles line? Either way it looks great in the packaging. I feel $30 is too much for these and $20 would feel a lot more fair.
Yeah, I was really looking forward to it. I'm seeing a lot of people listing it as the worst figure of the year. And so far it seems like it is everybody's.
I got this one and Bluegrass. I don't really miss the vac-metal since these are supposed to be based on the cartoon. However, next year Super7 are doing repaints that look like the Kenner figures.
That’s a bit unfortunate that the figure is looser than you wanted it sounds like? If so are they usually that way? I wanted to purchase this line because it’s the next best like other than what they’ve done with the classified line. Which has its share of QC issues with arms popping out of the peg with that like but the torso sections usually are really locked down with the classified series and the head articulation is limited when the women come into play due to the hair styles, I think Zarana was the best of the articulation from the women released in the classified line but the issue is QC for her build with the arms that pop off the pegs and that’s also an issue with the cover girl build for the classified line. Seems like each line has its ups and downs. I was most impressed with Zartan and Spirit Iron Knife builds of the classified line.
First one out of mine that was that floppy. The cartoon look is fun, but the are super limited on articulation. Yeah if they just could all come together and create the best versions for the fans but we will be stuck with good enough figures until we are too old to care about them anymore.
@@blackwormboyA lot of their figures have the same feeling in hand. If they can tone down the sheen on their figures a bit. They would look a lot better. For the price it is a bit too dissapointing. Works for some cartoon figures but not for everything.
I was considering getting the Raven fig, but I don't understand why they didn't give her the costume that's on the card 🤷🏻♂ That Beast Boy build a fig definitely takes the cake though, it looks awesome! I just recently opened my first McFarlane figure. Thanx for sharing! New sub 🙋🏻♂
Again watching another Taarna review I'm thankful I dodge a bullet an cancel my preorder cuz Loose Collector dropped the ball on this one!!😱🤦♂️🤢 I passed on Vampirella an I have Purgatori, Hellwitch, Lady Death & Red Sonja but I'm do a head swap on her.
Also I noticed that when it comes to their wrestling figs the renders look alot better than the actual product, prime example being the New Japan figures. I was super disappointed with those but this Andre is a different beast. Thing is Super 7 can make good figures, everyone knows this, but man they can sure make some stinkers too. When they get it right they get it RIGHT, but when they fumble the bag they don't just fumble it they chuck it into a active volcano made of liquid horse shit (a little aggressive i know but my point still stands). Also Super 7 can seemingly do a good André as there's a figure of him in his 70's look when he wasn't contracted to the fed to when he just started working there. It looks better than this one from a review fellow RU-vid toy reviewer Kyle Peterson did, tho im not too sure on if thats due to better quality or some lighting and my memory playing tricks on me but none the less certainly looked better than this one so why this turned out like it is is beyond me.
The first one they did looked much better, I think they have had a problem with having to switch factories multiple times. And the quality changes each time. I have the NJPW figures but have yet to open them.
@@blackwormboy that's probably the case which I mean fair enough as to how the Andre turned out like this but still disappointing. Hopefully if they plan on doing any other wrestlers that the figs are up there with their best figures
@@blackwormboy Also heads up with the New Japan figures the belts don't clip together that easily due to the materials used so be warned on that as it seems to be a common thing with them.
Man super 7 sure have a poor track record with their wrestling figs. Also that Ultimates Andre is yikes, the faces are funky GOD DAMN, and its weird that the grinning one (i think its a grinning head can't tell) is so inconsistent with the others its confusing. Also the skin tone is too gummy and makes it look cheap, it also comes with less stuff but is MORE EXPENSIVE! Like dang that is disappointing, the fact that a 30 dollar figure does a better job at portraying the legendary giant and comes with with better articulation, more accessories and a better likeness to Andre than a fig worth 70 BLOODY DOLLERS and is meant to be a high end premium figure but overall is lacking behind a retail toy you can find in a smiths toys or a Walmart or target is just disappointing to me, i do expect better from super 7 but here we are. When it comes to the battle of the ultimates, Ultimate edition Andre wins by an 1000 mile difference, it ain't close. P.S sorry for the long comment i do that too much to my oen detriment but anyways love the channel and keep up the great work man.
What, that's just the truth not long at all. I was so shocked at how bad super7's was I had a hard time talking about it. It's my new bar figure, I hope nothing gets lower.
@@blackwormboy yeah I hope the bar doesn't get lower than this cause figs with this price tag being that bad are something no collector should deal with.
I admit I d prefer her over Taarna and Tyris flare because of the companions - prices. she might be as fragile, but much cheaper. she has many of the others s features, great look, white hair, sword, sexy. I can t afford them all, and have limited space here. good show bro.
both characters are interesting to get, however... it would be better to sell the companions apart, it makes it more expensive and takes more space. and looking at their articulations, they re pretty much statues... I ve heard the prices are as spicy as the figures. also, that they are quite fragile. those gaps are disappointing, it s a design flaw, it should be better. I would have liked more comparisons like with legends or gi joes. Conan does nt look very good to me. still, I m tempted to get them, if it s some kind of deal, at full price, I d be hesitant, they re not made to last very long. and don t drop them, as they could break hitting the floor... I d go for $40 Can each if I could find them, but not much more than that, I have nothing to mix them with. it s just that I like them both very much as characters. good show bro.
