Even if he has that device on, as long as you pay with apple / google pay, they can’t do anything. When you pay, they only generate a validation token which is sent over the network. So even if they successfully do a man in the middle attack and get that token, it’s absolutely useless for them, as it can only confirm one transaction (the one being done at that moment). So as long as you are not paying with your actual card, you are safe.
In the late 90s I got an old system with ms-dos 5 and windows 3. The first virus I dealt with is named Onehalf. I remember that I immunized a boot diskette and used a dos program by Raiu (founder of RAV) to recover everything and get rid of the virus.
They're not real smart most of the time. I had one claiming he was from the Australian fraud department for online scams. He called from an Australian number, said he was in Canberra but mentioned Euros in a refund I have from a recent scam. Sounds legitimate. 🤔

Well no there's probably inducted by some dude, I don't know the specifics of how it happens but they probably just either wrote or typed it on a list somewhere if I had to guess... [I'm sassy]
Identity theft while the owner literally have a hard time to convince people it's not him but the imposter can convince people easily 😭 In my country there's a doctor who works for 10+ years with other doctor license. No one checked his photo profile, he literally uses the license while replacing the photo, so the hospital always check if the license is real but didn't check the photo.
Open an account Setup a password Forget the password Recover account through another account (going through the top again for recovery account, only that one is logged in to a device that doesn't belong to me and can easily be lost and reset) everything usually goes to shit when this is lost😅
All of these comments complaining about this being better 20 years ago than self-driving tech is now. And yet they don't know that the AI was just following 2 lines on the highway. Should I tell them? Nah.
