Property taxes in Texas tend to be high. Redfin, etc will report tax history, but this will be lower for a new construction lot. The neighborhood will likely have established lots that reflect the tax amount for both the lot and the house.

what they should have done instead of that privacy wall was extend out the foyer a little bit, closer to the edge of the garage, added a small porch to the side that wraps around to the garage, and face the door sideways away from the garage. So, anyone looking in would see the garage wall (from inside the house though), and anyone entering the house would turn right to see the wide open living space. You could also get a curtain or something to hang over the door window, instead of slamming down an obtrusive privacy wall. That being said, i like the idea of the privacy, i would also be uncomfortable in such a tight neighborhood with anyone being able to peep in my window at me. Alternatively, they could have incorporated some functionality into the privacy wall, like a boot station, coat rack, etc. Again, extending the foyer just a little bit would have helped massively with this. But overall, the price is amazing here. Fully furnished it will be closer to $150,000.. Add on the land, and you're looking at $175-200k easily. He could furnish this and turn around and sell it turn-key for $250k i'd imagine. Minimum 200k. Some places this house would go for $300k or more depending on yard size. Adding any sort of back patio/pool/outdoor grill area, and this house would shoot up another $25-50k.

Shouldn't cost to much for a house. There is literally NO reason for it to cost so much. Reality is something VASTY overlooked because it's an easy route for the rich to get richer. These homes are not even worth that. Cheapy, OLD, and honestly NOT WORTH IT.
This house should be priced at 190k max… very basic. The prices down in the valley are quite delusional. There isn’t much to do down there yet they want to charge top dollar for homes
Is it realistic to have this home built for 280K I live in Rior rancho NM and like this design I have the land, I want to stay 350k or less if all possible that includes Solar and well. I have an acre of land paid for, Ideally 2 master suits and maybe one or two guest rooms ?
