@@adultdevelopment2105 I really hate that he’s gone makes me sad as well .. I was really wanting him to win another crown jewel race before he retired but this had to happen … there’s never going to be another like him that’s forsure!
@@ncphotos Thanks! Well it all depends! Ive not added up everything iv got in our new car to be honest… I actually need to set down and do that lol id just buy parts as I could.. but really there’s no limit on these cars there money pits haha… I may do a brake down on the cost of our build in a vid here soon make sure to stay tuned!
People that aren’t familiar with race cars, have no clue how much time is spent each week preparing it. And if you race 2 or 3 times a week it is tremendously time consuming especially if you get any damage. Very, very hard work.
@@user-ny7cs2dx1g Yelp it’s just like a full time job keeping these cars going each week!! Just makes it worse when you get damage over pointless stuff that happens to.. thank you for watching our vids and the comment!
Yeah absolutely devastated…crushed. Dirt racing won’t quite be the same. And just like when Scott was standing there in victory lane. Over all the booing and jering you’ll hear me haller WE LOVE YOU SCOTT. My heart goes out to Katrina and ariel georgie and the whole lot of em…he was something else entirely…
@@teamyatesc21 it does pretty good in the hill country? I'm in the Ozarks and the roads are trash leading up the mountains, so I'm really happy to know that. How much does a 10 ton load of gravel run you?
@@protovault3931 yes it does ok in the hills.. it’s just slow but when I’m hauling a load I don’t get in nor hurry.. now going down hill I use low gear it basically holds itself back.. don’t want to put a lot of trust in these old truck brakes lol
@@teamyatesc21 thanks for the info brother! I'm excited to get this thing on the road. Do you have the split rims or did you upgrade to a newer style wheel? I'm trying to replace mine with a modern style rim
@@teamyatesc21 I’ve been doing pretty good buddy. Still living in the same place a couple miles from the old school house. We might have to catch up one of these days.
The 5 car was slow all night long he held Caiden up and wouldn’t get out the way so Caiden made a hole and got that spot y’all had a top 2 car was just held up don’t chalk it as a dq that was a 4th place finish an well deserved You all will pick one off soon crybabies will be crybabies on to the next 🏁
Thanks!! We can’t wait to start racing!! Yea Luke and I are getting things worked out now so hopefully it won’t be long till we get a video out!! Thanks for watching and the comment

I am recently retired from driving at 63 yrs. old after a lifetime (raised) in the sport, 3rd generation builder and driver. The crashes hurt more than they used to and the eyesight was going away. I heard through the grape vine that East Bay will close soon. That figure 8 race that I mentioned was the only 1 they ever ran there. The crash at the intersection sent 1 car upside down in the air for at least 70 feet. I decided to move to Gibsonton right down the road and sent for my (Street Stock) race car from Flat Rock Michigan. I fell in love with dirt. It is a lot more forgiving (when you have contact) than speedways paved like Flat Rock and I had more fun. Plus we had 3 speedways within 10 miles from home in Gibtown. Good luck Team Yates. I will be following. Johnny 72
That’s awesome that you were still driving in your 60’s not many people can say that!! Yes I reckon this is East Bays last year that was the main reason we went so we can say we been there! I bet that was wild to see that car go 70 feet those guys are crazy haha… thanks for the comments we really enjoy hearing from you guys that watch our vids!! Should have a couple new videos posted by Monday! If the weather holds up we will be testing the lighting this weekend at Willard Speedway
I competed in the first ever Enduro 250 at Flat Rock Speedway in 1984. A year later I found my self at East Bay to attend the first figure 8 run on dirt that I ever witnessed. Finished the night at The Giants Camp just down the road. It was a bad night at the intersection. Then shortly after that I began competing at the Florida State Fairgrounds big half mile dirt in Tampa. I decided to stay in Gibtown and won a ton. Johnny 72
That’s awesome man!!! Yea I don’t think I’m brave enough to do the figure 8 stuff haha .. glad you shared your racing career with us!! Love it!! Thanks for watching our vid!! Lot of new content coming stay tuned!!
If you’ve never been to Volusia Speedway Park you need to put that on you bucket list. You’ll see some great racing and a lot of speed. They average around a 100 plus mod there. We stayed home this year but the three years we’ve gone to the Dirt Car Nationals at Volusia. This I’ll be watching on DirtVision. Take care have safe trip home. God bless❤🎉😅
Yes definitely going to have to make the trip there! We talked to a lot of mod guys that were heading there soon as they left East Bay.. thanks for watching and for the comment!!
New to the channel for about a month. Enjoying the content. Looking forward to seeing your progress through the season. Fellow mod racer from Missouri.
Welcome to our channel!! Thanks for watching In Missouri!! we got a lot of content coming so make sure to stay tuned!!! Good luck in 2024 as well…appreciate the comment!
That would be awesome! Just depends on funds and all that.. like to at least go watch not been there before but we will see! Thanks for watching and comment!!
Check the purse, used to be very good back in the late 80's - into the 90's when I ran there. If you do go to watch sit in the first few rows for a souvenir, red clay in your beer. All the best wished for your team. And Showtown USA is only a few miles away. It is worth the visit. Johnny 72
Thatd be cool to have On the Berm stub and fix your mod. They do nice work that i can see here on RU-vid. They have done repairs on some different modifieds
