Did you save me big I'm 6'3 275 lbs so I'll definitely be going for the mt-09 but I would like to hear how much you weigh and if the 07 has enough pickup for you
I was 110kg which is 242lbs in this video and Yes it had heaps of get up and go for its CC-age and the weight it was carrying, never really felt like it was bogged down at all
@@AussieMotoVlogs yeah and you don't look that big on it but you don't look small either, I just hope the mt-9 has maybe an inch or two on the seat height, do you ever feel like you're too tall for it.
If you did pay attention to the instructions. You'd have seen it's important to have the top cross poles on top of the main frame. Once you get used to this tent, it can be erected in 5 mins or less. Bin the pegs that come with it. They are made of cheese. The "dry bag" the tent comes in is not dry. If you put the tent away wet, it will leak out into all your other gear. Great tent. Lots of thought has been put into the design.
This is nice. I'm 6'4" and we will always look awkward on any bike, even a multistrada or a 1250GS look like I'm on a 250cc super moto when sitting on it. 🤣
great advice. I bought a medium size helmet because i'm just on the border between medium and large. Wore helmet around house for an hour and my left jaw hurt afterwards. I'm gonna try the pumping up the football method.
That works for a bike that has a lower center of gravity. For adventure bikes, or bikes with a higher center of gravity, leave the bike pointed a bit more uphill versus more perpendicular.
I saw a trick on YT, take a #3 youth soccer ball and inflate it inside the helmet and leave it for a day or a few. Depending on when you'll be riding again.
Im 6 foot and 270 at the moment im not like obese. But i aint small lol. I sat on one and felt confident as hell this is the bike for me. Problem is i know i look silly lol
Thanks buddy your idea of stretching the Helmet padding with a ball was a life saver. I had a new MT helmet which I could not wear only bcoz of the size issue. I kept it with a inflated football for two days and miracle happened. Now it has become very comfortable. Thanks again.
Thanks mate! I am just a bit curious, wahts your most comfortible bike ( i am looking for a beginner bike to learn to drive and i am aslo 6"3 ) Thanks!
I’m sorry but this is terrible advice. If your helmet is giving you a headache you’ve chosen the wrong size or shape of helmet. Secondly, if you weight your pads to break them in you are artificially “loosening” your lining; when you do finally start wearing it it won’t have molded to your head’s shape. Time to rethink your approach to proper helmet choice and fitment.
Question for other new folks …do you feel sleepy when wearing the helmet? Got mine a few weeks ago, just getting used to it so wearing whilst watching Tv but after 20or so mins I start feeling sleepy. Not like the helmet is restricting blood flow or anything…it just feels really comfortable and snug hahahaha Just wondering if that’s something I over come the more I get used it wearing it. On a side note, I’ve never worn anything outside caps so wondering if it’s just my body sending me to sleep as I’m too comfortable wearing it?
Great video, helpful! As an aside, if you own certain Arai helmets (like the XD-4 for example,) Arai designed it so you can remove the outermost foam layer of the cheekpads if yours are just too tight after break-in. Keep in mind this is a permament adjustment. Cheers~
I did 10-12 hour rides on my 2013 650 regularly even with the missus on the back and it was one of the most comfy bikes I owned, my zx10 I need to take a break every hour lol my only issue with it is the power, it was fun for the first 6months but after 1 year riding daily I needed more, but it's still more fun the the zx10 around town
I'm in a kind of similar situation, except the helmet fits mostly nicely once it's on save for some chipmunk cheek feeling, but is a nightmare to get on and off, requiring some serious wrenching where my ears bend over in the process, and trying to get it on or off with my bone conduction earbuds is even worse, it drags horribly and feels like the speaker bit is going to break off the band. Thanks for the idea, now I'm going to have the cheekpads sitting between a silicone mat on the floor, and a car amp with a chair sitting on it all to provide the weight. Hopefully that's going to get rid of the chipmunk cheek and make it actually feasible to put on painlessly and with audio accessories when I pull them back out in maybe a week.
Thanks, I'm 6'6" and was also looking at the MT-09 can you please do a vid without the fisheye effect as it makes you look kinda warped and bigger. cheers!
Thank you! My old Shoei was getting old so I bought a new one, same size.. my brain hurt! I had to use the emergency pulls to get my helmet off because it was pulling on my earrings! Ouch! I now have those fat cheek pads under weights.. I'll try them in a few days.
Congratulations, you've just _compressed_ the expanded polystyrene that's there to protect your head as it compresses _one time_ in a crash. Your helmet is too bloody small for your giant balloon head.
I found your video off the cuff because I was trying out a 300cc bike and I'm six feet one inches. I was like I can't be the only one that feels huge and these bikes.. thank you lol😊
