This is a really good video. Thank you. ❤

Thanks for the explanation. I am interested to understand a few things - your barn length, your experience with the center scrape, barrier and moving cows around the barrier, issues if floor ice and general maintenance and how often you are repairing, changing pins, etc. Thank you

I am thinking about doing another video addressing these questions, however, I am not 100% sure what you mean by center scrape and barrier, but if you reply back I'll be happy to explain it.

@@thefarmlife3077 Thanks for your response. Barrier - It looks like in the alley you have a fence as the scraper is moving all material to the center of the barn. The fence is blocking cows so that they don't step of the open channel. I can't get a good look but I assume cows are moving down the alley until they reach the center of the barn and then are diverted on to the crossover and back to the alley.

The drop box you have is a very interesting and odd design. I'm surprised they couldn't make floor with slots in it out of steel and concrete so the manure could slip down through without blocking the travel. Ours you can pull the T out of the sled which keeps it open, then drive the skidsteer over top straddling them. One could make many rants about the machinery but when they work they are nice.

Wow, cool to see this on RU-vid. I have the absolute "joy" of working on these terribly designed pieces of shit, ours are GEA, smaller square green colored units but similar to yours. The cables are a PITA and they always seem to get frayed by skidsteer doing sand bedding which is a whole separate battle.... and the cables snap leaving both sides slack and you have to retie everything.

Looking good. A lot of parts and a lot of steps.

I suppose the only option with the other engine is to get a complete new carburetor.

Thanks for the explanation on how they work and their safety features. It doesn't take long for the manure to build up when they are down for a bit. I hope temperatures stay good so they don't freeze up!

That’s cool to watch it peel it away and leave such a nice face. Looks like dirty work though.

Sure looks good when it’s all fixed up. You’ll have to give us a walk through of how the scraper works.

Great videos. Those of us that don't live and work on farms really can't appreciate the amount of know how and effort it takes to produce the goods we take for granted. Thanks for the insight. I hope you keep producing videos.
